Escenario 1: Lic. en Educación, Pedagogía, Psicopedagogía.

Escenario 2: Licenciatura o Ingenieria, junto con Maestría en Educación

Idiomas: INGLES AVANZADO (requisito indispensable)

Software o herramientas tecnológicas: MS Office, Plataformas Educativas, Internet.

Conocimientos: Evaluación de las habilidades y requisitos de aprendizaje de los niños, Diseño de Planes Educativos ndividualizados (IEP), Colaborar con los padres y el personal de la escuela para seguir el progreso de los estudiantes.

Objetivo

Asegurar herramientas educativas y ambioentes de aprendizaje para facilitar el desarrollo integral del alumno, mediante estrategias de intervención con directores, Médicos, Coordinadores de División de Deportes y Fine Arts.

Responsabilidades del puesto

Evaluar las habilidades de los estudiantes y desarrollar planes de enseñanza.

Adaptar los materiales de aprendizaje a las necesidades de los estudiantes.

Realice un seguimiento e indicadores (reportes) sobre el progreso de los estudiantes.

Monitorear los patrones de comportamiento de los niños y organizar intervenciones apropiadas si es necesario.

Encuentre actividades interesantes para enseñar habilidades (por ejemplo, dibujo, etc)

Preparar a los estudiantes para la transición al siguiente grado.

Informar a los padres sobre el desempeño de sus hijos y posibles problemas.

Capacitar/orientar a otros profesionales que trabajan con niños con alumnos bajo este programa.

Colaborar con el personal de apoyo (por ejemplo, consejeros escolares y terapeutas) para crear planes de intervención integrales.

ROLE SUMMARY:

With more than 1,800 students, The American Institute of Monterrey (AIM), an Inspired school, currently has 3 campuses in Monterrey’s metropolitan area: 2 campuses in San Pedro and 1 campus in Santa Catarina.

Valle Campus provides full services from Pre-nursery through 9th grade.
Chipinque Campus provides services from Pre-nursery through 5th grade.
Huasteca Campus - offers 6th through 12th grades.

This Authentic Products and Services are developed during students' specialized Academy classes in Engineering and Technology, Laboratory and Research, Business and Management as well as Arts and Humanities.

The key purpose of this position is to develop intervention strategies to help students who struggle in the classroom and ensure that the academic programs facilitate learning and integral development of the student.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Evaluate and help students develop academic plans or frameworks that make it easier for them to learn, and to prevent them from falling behind in their studies.
• Inform and train teachers as well as parents regarding the different types of learning disabilities and challenges that exist.
• Assess members of the student body to determine which, if any, have learning obstacles and might need extra academic support
• Update teachers and parents about the progress of those students who have been struggling or falling behind
• Provide teachers with resources to support students and promote learning within their classrooms preparing intervention strategies with the parties involved: teachers, coordinator and external therapist.
• Evaluate and observe gifted and talented students and develop differentiation strategies for students and teachers to implement.
• Apply new student's evaluation assessments and supports new students and families with the school transition process.
• Maintain constant communication with other schools and civil associations professionals; and participate in seminars, congress, and courses related to the field of work.
• Academic and learning strategies teacher training.
• Coordinate the Resource Teacher program.
• Administration and control of the iPal program.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

• Education, Psychopedagogy, or Clinical Psychology degree. Master’s degree (desirable).
• 5 - five - year experience as an educator in different types of classrooms and grades, learning specialist, or counselor with teaching experience in private schools.
• Sound interpersonal and communication skills, problem-solving skills to analyze potential learning obstacles and develop solutions, knowledge of pedagogical methods, child development principles, and educational philosophies, and a passion for helping those in need and support students with academic struggle.
• Excellent oral and written communication.
• Advanced English.
• Technology oriented professional
