Job Description
Primary Function of Position:
Responsible for coordinating the different company functions to ensure that they comply with government regulations related to customs.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Review accuracy of HTS, value and country of origin for raw materials, equipment and Finished goods according to company policies. Review, update and keep the maintenance for the inventory system (annex 24). BOM’s update and set up for raw materials, finished goods and Equipment on annex 24. Ensure complete and accuracy information between annex 24 system, DataStage (SAT) and customs broker. Ensure inventory accuracy between Annex 24 system, ERP and Annex 30. Annex 30 administration and VAT Certification renewal. Support to coordinate CTPAT and AEO certification maintenance. Support on activities related to Global trade and logistics compliance policies. Create monthly Import/Export information from Annex 24 for INEGI. Evaluate changes for import export regulation and it impact to the company operation. Review changes or new internal process to assess impact for import export operation. Validate and approve import and export documents to be captured in Annex 24 system. Support to coordinate US Reconciliation process. Support to coordinate on Annual report to SAT (RAOCE). Responsible of control for the equipment and proper stance documentation (import documents, export control, correct identification, etc.). Coordinate different departments to get permits required for import and export operation. File request for COFEPRIS Permits for import operation. Coordinates and request any permits needed for import and export operations from Mexicali. Verify temporary equipment for internal Asset identification control. Support on monitoring and evaluation of record keeping files and controls. Evaluate inventory records to start a change of regimen for Raw Material. Evaluate and confirm if raw material and equipment regularization is required. Keep up-to-date files of machinery, equipment, and purchases for the payment of taxes and reports required by government authorities. Support on gathering information for external trade audits. Coordinate to solve any request and inquiry from Customs (MX and US). Support for internal trade compliance audit organization and development.
Qualifications
Skills, Experience, Education, & Training:
Bachelor’s degree in Customs and International trade or similar Experience : 3 years minimum Knowledge required : Harmonized tariff Schedule (US, MX). Annex 30, Annex 24. Use of MRP System (SAP preferred) Customs system. Mexican trade regulation Mexican preference trade programs. US Customs regulations associated to USMCA, Certificate of Origin, 9801 & 9802 programs, Customs Clearance. Knowledge of CTPAT/ AEO standards. Microsoft Office, Excel medium to advanced knowledge Information analysis. Written and spoken English.
