About the role

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior ServiceNow Developer to join our team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to develop, configure, and customize the ServiceNow platform to align with our business requirements. This role has been categorized as a teleworker position. Teleworkers do not have a permanent corporate office workplace and, instead, work from a physical location of their choice which must be identified to the Company. Employees may live in any part of Mexico, but preferably in Mexico City, as we would encourage attendance for occasional in-office events.

Responsibilities

Key contributor to the team, with initial responsibilities aligned to HR Service Delivery development.

Taking a leading role in important ServiceNow initiatives, designs, and operational events. 

Configure and customize the ServiceNow platform in collaboration with IT teams, the TPM, and ServiceNow stakeholders to align with business requirements including workflows, forms, fields, UI, and integrations.

Support implemented and proposed solutions on the ServiceNow platform.

Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement preventive measures.

Provide mentorship and guidance, engage in peer reviews, and share knowledge freely across the team. 

Maintain accurate documentation of configurations, processes, and customizations.

Work with others to drive adoption and use of the ServiceNow platform.

Habitually design technically and operationally scalable solutions.

Deliver critical multi-component features and ensure quality results.

Contribute to projects that span across teams and business domains.

Proactively propose effective designs to enhance the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the ServiceNow platform, and the team.

Stay up to date with ServiceNow emerging trends, releases, features, and best practices.

Professional Experience:

1-2 years experience in ServiceNow HRSD.

3-5 years of overall experience in ServiceNow development, ideally implementing ITSM.

System integration experience using web services and other web based technologies such as XML, HTML, AJAX, CSS, HTTP, REST/SOAP

Experience with Business Rules, Script Includes, UI Actions, Scheduled Jobs - all scripted aspects of the ServiceNow system

Experience with ServiceNow client and server-side Javascript and the ServiceNow APIs

Scripted Web-Services, AJAX, Business Rules, JavaScript, SOAP, REST SSO-SAML Setup and Integration of ServiceNow to Other Applications

Customizing ServiceNow using UI Pages, UI Macro & CMS using CSS, HTML, Jelly.

Custom UI Changes with usage of Web Technologies such as DOM, HTML changes.

Proficiency debugging and fixing technical problems as they arise.

Proficiency producing and running test cases to guarantee software quality.

Proficiency documenting code and application functionality.

Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban)

Build reports, gauges, and home pages.

Understands technical and functional design requirements related to ServiceNow.

Strong customer focus and desire to provide an impeccable customer experience. 

Strong documentation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Strong written and verbal communication skills; must be able to interact well across all levels of the business.
