Your mission, roles and responsibilities
Are you a skilled and creative process engineer who can design and implement efficient and ergonomic production processes in a dynamic environment? Do you want to work for a leading company in the auto industry that values innovation and quality? If so, you might be the ideal candidate for the Process Engineer position at Forvia.
As the Process Engineer, you will be responsible for managing the product interface with product development, contributing to the engineering change management process, supporting continuous improvement and production, and participating in the manufacturing engineering network. You will also design, implement, and monitor the production processes, ensuring the feasibility, productivity, and quality of the products.
Overall responsibilities and duties:
The mission to have all series production documents under control by lean manufacturing activities and aligned with PFMEA, Working Instructions, lay out projections and continuous improvement.
The main missions of the role are:
o Leads together with the divisions specialists the new processes implementation.
o Commissioning / qualifications in his/her plant and/or supports series production.
o Continuous improvement (Hoshin, scrap reduction, TPM…).
o PFMEA development and control.
o SMED activities to improve change over.
o Working Instruction aligned with lean manufacturing.
o Key Characteristic control
o Monitoring Direct Labor efficiency.
o Control and administration of floor documents.
o Line lay out optimization.
o Plant Lay Out update.
o Specific deliverables from customer related to the production process.
o Support and participate in the creation of methods to ensure the performance of the site’s management systems.
Your profile and competencies to succeed
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have/be:
o Minimum education level: Engineering.
o Language: Intermediate English.
o 1 year of experience in the Automotive Industry.
Experience:
o 1 year of experience in a similar position
o Basic Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing
o Basic Knowledge of Core tools (PFMEA, RFMEA, Control plan, PPAP)
o Basic Knowledge of SMED for change over
Skills and competencies
o Ability to train and coach direct operators
o Continuous improvement mind set
o Problem Diagnosis and analytic skills to understand contexts and define/support the definition of action plans
o Basic Knowledge of IATF
o Basic knowledge of Mexican health, safety, energy, and environmental standards.
o Knowledge and identification of environmental aspects and impacts.
