LANGUAGE LEAD – LATIN AMERICAN SPANISH

We are looking for qualified candidates to work with a global team of language leads to review and control linguistic tasks for Latin American Spanish. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure a high level of quality is being delivered for the target language. 

 

What You Will Do:

  • Manage test translation for Latin American Spanish by providing analysis and guidance on results 

  • Create and maintain guidelines for Latin American Spanish quality management 

  • Create and maintain style guides for Latin American Spanish 

  • Create and maintain Glossaries for Latin American Spanish 

  • Verify deliverables are up to Lionbridge standards for Latin American Spanish 

  • Ensure customer instructions and internal processes are correctly followed by linguists 

  • Ensure language quality processes are correctly followed internally 

  • Manage communication with external linguistic resources for Latin American Spanish 

  • Recommend linguistic resources based on project requirements 

  • Coordinate with Lionbridge language leads to facilitate smooth communication with clients. 

  • Work with other members of the group, in a team or as a project lead, respecting all procedures.  

  • Ensure best practices are met across all deliverables. 

  • Propose workflow optimizations. 

  • Liaise with customers and internal stakeholders on Latin American Spanish quality. 


To Be Successful, You Will Have:

  • Native level fluency in Spanish, able to provide guidance on the language 

  • Enjoys managing several products simultaneously and can easily switch context between projects  

  • Possesses excellent cross-functional negotiation and communication skills  

  • Has an excellent eye for detail 

  • Excellent command of the English language is essential  

  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral 

  • Strong video games translation experience is required 

  • Linguistic degree is a real plus 

  • Strong team player  

  • Good organizational and time management skills  

  • Ability to research in depth a variety of subjects  

  • Flexible and proactive approach to tackling tasks  

  • Use of CAT software (memoQ is a big plus) 

  • Eager to learn and become proficient in new tools
