Principle Relationships

Main working relationships:

Daily Operational Production meetings with Quality Plant Engineering Manager and his team, control tower to deal with quality issues / productionWeekly meetings with FQM managerWeekly meetings with Supplier Quality Development, ENG/CCLP Cross Car Line & Project, MFG/VPE/GAPE to coordinate the progress of the 7 diamondsConvening of the site director’s / quality managers of the most failing supplier sites. Meetings with suppliers

Operational Context

The holder of this function must contribute to improving the quality level of new and customer vehicles in a context of ever more ambitious quality objectivesThe position requires great responsiveness in order to meet quality and production requirementsAutonomous in the decision (or to lead if necessary) to modify the automotive product or the process to guarantee the quality of the vehiclesSupport the Quality Plant Engineering Manager to make decision to hold vehicles and market vehiclesAutonomous in the convocation and animation of suppliers, represents Company with suppliersAs soon as possible in order to avoid increasing outstanding rework area (issues on retouching costs and customer delivery time) 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Define containment actions to apply for customer protection (including supplier Issues)Do vehicle issue diagnosis and root cause analysisEnsure that his team carries out the pre-analysis activities on timeDo risk assessments and lead corrective action plansGuarantee the product – process maturity of the components of his perimeter management of serial life (windows change management).Propose alternative product solution in case of issues (as shortage) to avoid to stop mass production in the plantParticipate in Quality ENG tech clubsImplementation of good idea and standards (Read Across)Ensure the right application in the plant of the technical requirements and the meta function “métiers” standards of his perimeterEnsure that the skills of his team is at the right levelEnsure the management activities of his team (daily management control meeting)Ensure that his team is working in safetyLead quality KPI management to achieve quality objectives, driving improvement/corrective actions and escalationResolution of systemic/chronic or major quality issues (Top Warranty, Recalls, …)Technical support Yard Holds / Product Related Issues (PRI’s) technical referent inside the PRI.Set-up / On-going Controls for Process / product Standards for Vehicle & System Functional Objectives (i.e. ADAS, BSR, FEA)

Must Haves:

Strong Leadership; recognized influencer and ability to challenge team in achieving goals.Ability to Communicate; represent technical challenges in front of senior leadership and develop strategies to resolve complex problems.Technical Awareness; familiar with automotive electronic and propulsion systems including modules/actuators/sensors and power distribution.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related degree fieldMinimum of 8 years of related experiencePrevious experience in Engineering Department, Vehicle/mechanic Plant or Project teamAbility to lead an Engineering team to deliver product changes and launches on timeExperience with Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and corrective actionsStrong communication skills, both written and verbal from High Level Meetings down to the Shop FloorAbility to work off shift hours as necessarySelf-motivated and directedAbility to thrive in a high intensity environment while working on multiple projectsRigorous and pragmaticLanguages: plant language & English

Master's degreeGreen beltWorld Class Manufacturing experience
