Senior Tax Manager

Role purpose
This role has the main purposes of ensuring tax compliance activities related to the VAT are met properly and on time, looking for the continuous improvement and accomplishing results throught the optimization of tax process and calculations, provide advisory to the business as well as fuctions and applying robust controls. Support over the implementation of the technological solutions proving tax definitions for the automation of tax calculations.
Main activities
Prepare and submit tax compliance and optimization activities for HSBC México, such as VAT, Informative returns and other tax compliance matters. VAT optimization processes and controls for HSBC México, including efficiencies and improvements on the VAT process, high quality on the deliveries and calculations, self-review, provide definitions to apply the data analytics tools to automate the VAT calculation, and looking for being less doer and more analytic. Provide tax advisory on daily tax matters of the Functions. Support the tax team on gathering information to address audits from tax authorities, working with Functions and Lines of Business outside Taxes. Support to the Deputy Tax Director and the Head of Tax on any tax matter and special projects (mergers, restructures, etc). Management of External and Tax Authorities audits and requirements. Tax risk management and execute SOX controls. Requirements Desirable Bachelor degree in Finance, Business Administration or Economic Areas. Desirable in Taxes. 5-7 years of experience in Tax, specially on international services companies. Desireble Financial Sector. Knowledge and experience in advisory (local and international), compliance and accounting for taxes.Strong Skills

Planning, organization skills, negotiation skills, ability to influence people and effective communication. Leadership and resilient skills for constantly changing risk and tax environments. Management skills to administrate their own activities and coordinate the activities of working groups.
