Kiewit Mexico offers construction management and engineering services in a variety of markets, including energy, oil, gas, chemicals, terminals, marine works, and mining.

Responsibilities

  • Experience focused in site development engineering with strong technical background in general site civil design, drainage/detention systems, grading, underground utilities and roads/paving.
  • Performs civil engineering calculations and designs under the general supervision of a senior civil engineer. Ability to perform assigned tasks with little to no direct daily supervision.
  • Capable of performing complex hydrologic & hydraulic calculations to develop drainage and grading drawings. Can recognize, troubleshoot and resolve design constraints and issue.
  • Participate and perform detailed civil engineering computations and site designs including engineering analysis, feasibility studies, preparation of drawings and specifications, report writing, cost estimating for FEED, Detailed Design and EPC projects.
  • Prepare and/or assist with quantity take-offs and construction cost estimates.
  • Works with and directs designers to develop engineering and design documents as needed for the project.

 

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering minimum required.
  • More than 5 years minimum relevant civil engineering experience in petrochemical, midstream or LNG industries.
  • Knowledgeable in multiple engineering design software. Strong AutoDesk Civil 3D with Storm & Sanitary Analysis (SSA) experience is a must and HEC-HMS experience is preferable.
  • Familiar with latest USA / international design codes (IBC, AASHTO), PIP’s Specs preferable.  
  • Licensed Professional Engineer with NCEES record preferable. 
  • Intermediate - Advanced English is a must.
