Position Overview

As a VoIP Engineer, you will be responsible for 2nd 3rd tier for customers seeking technical assistance at VoIP systems and solutions that meet our client’s high standards for performance and reliability.

Your expertise in technologies such as Asterisk, SIP & IAX protocols, and various scripting languages will be essential in delivering top-notch communication solutions. This role requires a hands-on approach and a strong understanding of Linux-based environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Technical support VoIP solutions utilizing Asterisk and Linux platforms.
  • Configure and troubleshoot SIP and IAX protocols to optimize signal routing and call quality.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and enhance VoIP applications.
  • Utilize scripting languages such as Bash and PHP to automate tasks and enhance system efficiencies.
  • Conduct system performance monitoring and troubleshooting to ensure optimal functionality.
  • Document processes, configurations, and project progress for future reference.
  • Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in VoIP and unified communications.


Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1- 2 years of experience as a VoIP Engineer or in a similar role.
  • Strong proficiency with Asterisk and familiarity with Linux operating systems.
  • In-depth knowledge of SIP and IAX protocols.
  • Experience with scripting, particularly in Bash and PHP.
  • Solid understanding of network design and architecture.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. English and Spanish
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
