The SAP Enterprise Cloud Services (ECS) organization is a business unit responsible for providing cloud hosted infrastructure and application management services to SAP customers around the world in a 24x7 operations model. Our portfolio of private cloud solutions turns SAP products into a solution-as-a-service on customer's preferred infrastructure, including Hyperscalers, as one SAP. The portfolio is at the center of the SAP strategy to help customers on their journey to use SAP S/4HANA and become an Intelligent Enterprise.

Meet your team

Together with your team, you will work in the SAP Enterprise Cloud Services with Technical Operation Unit (TECH-OP) which is the IT-infrastructure provider to the SAP Cloud Customers and is responsible for running SAP's ECS External customer landscape as a world-class service provider for SAP products. In ECS, we are building, managing, and running 3000+ customer landscapes in SAP DC and Hyperscaler like Azure, GCP, AWS with the most advanced technology. We are highly motivated and skilled engineers with locations in Germany, Mexico, India, and the US.

What you'll do

In your role as a technical consultant, you will be responsible for supporting the ECS customer for SAP innovative products. You will assess and solve issues in new or existing customers, and work with high attention to detail, reliability, and efficiency. You will collaborate closely with your team members to ensure success. In your day-to-day you will:

  • Lead the service delivery based on the defined KPIs, provide pre-sales support.
  • Build complex SAP Landscapes by providing technical expertise and support on all platforms and for the latest hardware technologies.
  • Plan, setup, implement, and operate SAP technologies achieving ambitious SLA requirements.
  • Create the proper documentation, definition of technical operational concepts and guidelines for the implemented SAP landscapes and roll out this information/knowledge to the rest of the local and global team.
  • Standardize complex activities and convert them into standard. Closely work with architecture teams to define and validate new offerings.
    • Installation of the product as per ECS standard.
    • Migration to ECS DC, @ Azure, @AWS, @GCP.
    • Cross-platform move of customer landscape.
  • Collaborate closely with developers and architects from the technology platform and all lines of businesses to come to feasible and adaptable solutions.
  • Work as part of the Scrum Team.

What you bring

Are you analytical, self-motivated, and enjoy problem-solving? Are you skilled in time management and task prioritization? Do you enjoy continuous learning and working efficiently in a fast-paced environment? If this sounds like you, do you also bring:

  • Strong communication skills both written and spoken in English.
  • Knowledge of ITIL and project management.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in service management and project management.
  • Profound knowledge with 7+ years of working experience as a Technical SAP Net Weaver Consultant (ABAP and Java basis administration), experience in the installation of the new innovation SAP products on HANA, ASE database, and Linux and Windows operating systems.
  • Working knowledge of the non-ABAP SAP products like XSA, IDM BOBJ, open text, etc.
  • Up to 2 years of experience in installation, upgrade, and migration activities on ABAP and non-ABAP SAP products.
  • Working experience/knowledge on the Hyperscalers like Azure, AWS, GCP will be an added advantage.
  • Migration and support project experience involving large enterprises.
