The Financial Analyst will also work with functional teams to provide financial guidance and assistance. To be a successful Financial Analyst, you should be able to perform a variety of financial activities, including planning, analysis, budgeting, and reporting. You should also have strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills and be able to present financial information and models to the Director of FP&A as well as the leaders from other functions.The person in this role will work on-site in our office in Santa Catarina, (Monterrey area), Mexico and report to our Director of FP&A.**What You'll Be Doing**:- Support month-end close processes and reconciliations. Assist in the development of monthly and quarterly financial analysis frameworks.- Review and analyze financial metrics, statements, and reports; Analyze key business drivers and how they interact with financial results.- Work with functional teams on financial guidance and assistance to evaluate opportunities for improvement.- Develop critical financial projections and models to provide insights and recommendations to support global decision-making.- Inspect account books and accounting systems for efficiency and use of accepted accounting procedures, and identify potential risks for fraud.- Organize, analyze, and maintain financial records.- Suggest ways to reduce costs, enhance revenues, and improve profits.- Assess financial operations, identify risks and challenges, and make best-practices recommendations to management.- Performing ad-hoc research and analysis as required.- All employees are expected to maintain and contribute to the QMS.**Desired Traits**:- Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting.- Master, MBA, or CPA a plus.- 3-5 years of experience in financial planning, analysis, and modeling. Experience in the Manufacturing Industry is a plus.- Preferred experience at a Big Four accounting firm, demonstrating strong analytical, financial modeling, and audit or advisory capabilities- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.- Ability to present financial information to a non-financial audience.- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.- Proficiency in Microsoft Office/Google Suite; Experience in NetSuite, Odoo and data analytical tools a strong plus.- Experience in developing written processes and procedures, and training finance and cross-functional team members.- Extremely hands-on and detail-oriented. Willing to jump in wherever needed.- Able to grow responsibility with the growth of the region.- Analytical and critical-thinking skills. Must be able to critically evaluate data, identify issues in documentation, and suggest solutions.- Communication skills. Must be able to listen to and discuss facts and concerns from clients, managers, and other stakeholders. They must also be able to discuss the results of their work both in meetings and in written reports.- Detail-oriented. Must pay attention to detail when compiling and examining documents.- Math skills. Must be able to analyze, compare, and interpret facts and figures. They may use advanced math skills, such as calculus and statistical analysis, for these tasks.- Organizational skills.
