Let’s shape progress together.### **About the Role**We are seeking a talented and collaborative **Software Engineer II – Python** to join our Shadow Health development team in Mexico City. This position performs moderately difficult research, design, and software development assignments within a specific software functional area or product line. You will contribute to building and enhancing web services and applications that support healthcare education through simulation-based learning.### **Responsibilities*** Work with the Tech Lead to solve moderate complexity software engineering problems.* Build new features and improve existing ones for our Learning Management System.* Write and review portions of detailed specifications for the development of system components of moderate complexity.* Review code from other engineers and provide constructive feedback.* Complete moderately complex bug fixes.* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality delivery.* Operate in various development environments (Agile, Waterfall, etc.) while collaborating with key stakeholders.* Successfully implement development processes, coding best practices, and code reviews.* Keep abreast of new technology developments.* All other duties as assigned.### **Requirements*** 3+ years of Software Engineering experience.* Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.* Proficiency in development languages including but not limited to: **Python, FastAPI, LangGraph, SQL, Docker, AWS, GitHub Actions, UNIX**.* Proficiency with data manipulation languages and understanding of data modeling principles.* Ability to work with complex data models.* Familiarity with agile software development methodologies.* Knowledge of software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).* Knowledge of test-driven development and industry best practices such as code coverage.* Ability to work well with internal and external technology resources.* Good oral and written communication skills.### **Work in a Way That Works for You**We promote a healthy work/life balance across the organisation.
