At Fyte, we are looking for a Senior Procurement Manager to work for a company from the energy sector with offices in Mexico City.The mission of the Purchasing Department is to support all operational and functional entities in their purchase and supply actions to buy less, buy better and buy low cost. Therefore, the objective of this position is the following:- Build a purchasing organization along with the required infrastructure- Execute best-in-class strategic sourcing in the company- Lead sourcing activities working closely with Steering Committee in pursuit of sustainable reductions in the total cost of goods and services procured, with simultaneous improvements in the quality, competitiveness and service levels of the supply base.**Furthermore, these will be your tasks**:- Cost Saving: One of the main responsibility is the achievement of real savings including direct savings captured through pooling company wide purchasing volume and indirect savings realized by enhancing the overall effectiveness of the procurement process.- Lead planning efforts. Will prepare annual and long-term strategic sourcing plans which identify how the strategic sourcing organization intends to achieve company goals. The plan will propose specific sourcing team projects for the year, expected savings from these initiatives, staffing needs including proposed team leaders, and a timetable for completion. The plan will also include a proposed sourcing budget for all corporate sourcing activities, and will be presented to the executive steering committee for approval.- Assess sourcing needs: Will work closely with the Steering Committee to determine the current and future sourcing needs for the company, to agree on the best method for fulfilling those needs, and to monitor ongoing effectiveness of the process.- Represent sourcing: Will promote and participate in company wide committees and task forces to ensure that strategicsourcing input is integrated into major corporate decisions and initiatives- Set best practices policies and standards. The Senior Purchasing Manager must keep abreast of sourcing best practices and new developments in industry and should take steps to ensure that the company is implementing such practices where appropriate: Will develop guidelines, policies, and standards for company-wide sourcing activities.- Execute Continuous Improvement sourcing approach: The Senior Purchasing Manager will be responsible Supplier management and development, including a common scorecard that measures supplier performance across key service, price, quality and innovation dimensions**QUALIFICATIONS**:Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management or similar related areas of expertise.**Experience**: At least three years of experience in leadership positions and ten years within procurement (direct cost: gas, machinery, chemicals)MBA or Master of Supply Chain is a plusDo you think you have what it takes for this role?
