There's a huge opportunity to develop, explore and thrive during our next chapter.**Introduction to role**:We are seeking a highly qualified Director of Program management & Projects to lead our project management & projects function & own all OPSIT-SSD project delivery activities. This senior, strategic role is responsible for the IT Solutions delivery projects supporting the End-to-End operations business across all AstraZeneca manufacturing facilities globally, as well as partnering and providing thought leadership to other Operations and Enterprise IT leaders in developing an aligned strategy to support Business Operations.**Accountabilities**:In this role, you will be responsible for project management activities, including planning, execution, monitoring, and control. You will develop and implement Program management & project delivery strategies, methodologies, processes, and tools to ensure that projects are delivered efficiently and effectively. You will lead a team of senior IT Project managers & teams in multiple countries to ensure all OPS IT solutions delivery & deployments are completed as per the program & portfolio plans, timely & within budget. You will also co-work with other business facing & Project delivery functions to identify areas of continuous improvement for project deliveries.**Essential Skills/Experience**:- Demonstrated ability to act as an inspiring leader and drive new insights / concepts into the IT & business managed large scale programs & projects.- Experience running a global IT Program Management organization with demonstrated ability to influence Senior Leaders- Large IT-Program delivery experience, implementing global systems/processes and business change.- Experience of delivering multiple parallel complex IT delivery programmes.- Deep understanding of IT Program management KPIs & metrics- Cross cultural people management and employee engagement.- Experience of working in agile teams using SCRUM methodologies.- Adept at Talent & Attrition Management with effective succession planning.- At least 18 years of experience in program and project management- Extensive, hands-on IT Solutions delivery management exposure- Bachelor's degree in business administration, engineering, or a related field.- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.- Previous experience controlling IT project budgets up to $50M.- Experience working in a global organisation where stakeholders and direct team members are geographically dispersed.- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.**Desirable Skills/Experience**:- Pharma or Health care domain exposure- Exposure to IT landscape in highly regulated environmentsWhen we put unexpected teams in the same room, we ignite bold thinking with the power to encourage life-changing medicines.
