DevOps Engineer

If you are interested in supporting critical infrastructure and developing a track record of outstanding service delivery, we would love to speak with you**Role Responsibility**- Build, update, and maintain tooling to deploy, upgrade, monitor, and maintain messaging infrastructure hosted in Azure and AWS.- Designing, implementing and working with automated solutions for cloud-based infrastructure.- Developing or modifying solutions to automate tasks and meet business requirements.- Help to suggest and design both short-term and long-term engineering solutions to improve existing operational workflows.- Build relationships with stakeholders to understand their roles and requirements and clearly communicate with them on progress, challenges, and questions.- Ensure resilience and stability through quality configuration reviews, regression testing, and level two production support for owned tools.- Provide on-call support on a rotational basis including weekend coverage.- Collaborate with team members in a multi-office, multi-time zone environment.**Skills/Qualifications**:- A degree specializing in Computer Science, Technology, MIS, Mathematics, Physics, Engineering or similar.- 1 - 2 years of industry experience in an engineering role.- Exposure to and understanding of cloud ecosystems such as Azure or AWS, including knowledge of their respective APIs for provisioning and monitoring.- Experience in a programming language such as Python, Java or PowerShell and their respective testing modules.- Understanding of Agile work environments, including knowledge of Azure DevOps, GIT and CI/CD.- Experience troubleshooting clients' technical issues, and experience working with engineering teams, sales, professional services, and customers.- Excellent communication and presentation skills.- Ability to work with teams across geography.- Create and deliver best practices recommendations, documentation for internal wiki pages, and presentations.**Good to have**:- Experience with messaging technologies & platforms like Apache Kafka, Azure's Service Bus, Event Grid, Event Hub, IBM MQ or Google Cloud's Platform Pub/Sub.- Experience with Linux server environments.- Experience with configuration management or Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform, Ansible or Cutover.- Experience with Kubernetes environments.- Previous experience working in the Financial Services or Technology industry.**Our benefits**To help you stay energized, engaged and inspired, we offer a wide range of benefits including a strong retirement plan, tuition reimbursement, comprehensive healthcare, support for working parents and Flexible Time Off (FTO) so you can relax, recharge and be there for the people you care about.**Our hybrid work model**BlackRock’s hybrid work model is designed to enable a culture of collaboration and apprenticeship that enriches the experience of our employees, while supporting flexibility for all.
