In this role, you will support pupils with challenging behaviour, helping them to achieve their full potential. You will work closely with teachers, the SENCo, and other support staff to create a positive and structured environment conducive to learning and personal development.**Key Responsibilities**- Provide one-to-one and group support: Assist pupils with challenging behaviour in managing their emotions and behaviour, ensuring they are engaged in their learning.- Implement behaviour management strategies: Work with the SENCo and teaching staff to develop and implement effective behaviour management plans.- Support academic progress: Help pupils understand and engage with the curriculum, providing tailored support where necessary.- Foster a safe learning environment: Ensure the classroom remains a safe and supportive space for all pupils.- Collaborate with staff and parents: Maintain open and effective communication with teachers, support staff, and parents to ensure consistent support for each pupil.- Assist with personal care needs: Where necessary, provide personal care support to pupils, always maintaining their dignity and comfort.**About You**- Experience: Previous experience working with children with SEN and/or challenging behaviour is essential.- Qualifications: A relevant qualification (e.g., CACHE Level 3 Diploma in Supporting Teaching and Learning) is desirable but not essential.- Skills: Strong interpersonal skills, patience, resilience, and the ability to remain calm under pressure.- Knowledge: Understanding of various behaviour management techniques and an awareness of SEN practices.- Attitude: A positive, empathetic approach to working with children and a commitment to their development and wellbeing.**About Us**The Education Network is a leading educational support organization dedicated to providing exceptional educational opportunities for pupils with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
