Location: Remote (Must work PST California Time Zone) Employment Type: Contract / Freelance (Must be able to commit up to 40 hours per week) Blazel is looking for a freelance social video editor to turn long-form interviews and podcast recordings into high-performing short-form videos and reels for LinkedIn. This role is all about editorial judgment and execution: identifying the most compelling moments from long-form conversations and shaping them into concise, engaging video clips that resonate with a professional audience. You’ll work autonomously, move quickly, and help define how our clients voice shows up on LinkedIn. We’re looking for someone who understands pacing, storytelling, and what makes people stop scrolling in a professional feed.

What You’ll Do Turn long-form interviews and podcast recordings into short, engaging LinkedIn videos and reels Identify standout moments, insights, and soundbites with strong professional and narrative value Edit clips with clear pacing, strong captions, and clean visuals Add light graphics or motion elements when they enhance clarity or engagement Optimize videos for LinkedIn best practices and performance Deliver high-quality edits on tight timelines while maintaining accuracy and consistency Who You Are A skilled video editor with experience creating short-form content for LinkedIn (strongly preferred) or other social media platforms Strong experience turning Podcast and Interview recordings into highly engaging shortform videos and reels for LinkedIn or other Social Media platforms.

Experience

creating professional short form videos and reels for LinkedIn (Strongly Preferred) Comfortable working independently as a contractor / freelancer Strong editorial instincts, you know what moments matter and why Proficient using video editing tools like After Effects, Final Cut Pro, or CapCut is a plus) Experienced with captions, audio cleanup, and basic motion graphics Organized, reliable, and able to manage multiple clips per week Curious, creative, and open to experimenting to improve performance Nice to Have Motion graphics or animation experience Familiarity with AI-assisted video editing or clipping tools About Blazel Blazel is an AI startup that helps founders and executives grow their audience, build trust, and convert new clients, on LinkedIn, social, and media platforms.
