**Recipe and Kitchen Manager** **Position Overview**:Casa Ensalada is seeking a part-time **Recipe and Kitchen Manager** based in Mexico City to join our small, passionate team. At Casa Ensalada, we are redefining how fresh, vibrant, and healthy eating fits into a modern lifestyle. Our mission is to celebrate health, creativity, and connection through globally inspired, locally sourced salads delivered with convenience and style.**Key Responsibilities**:**Recipe Development**:- Create, collaborate on, and refine a portfolio of unique, high-quality salad recipes aligned with Casa Ensalada’s fresh, creative brand.- Balance flavor, ingredient cost, and preparation feasibility to develop recipes that are easy to execute and cost-effective.- Experiment with innovative combinations of local ingredients, creating standout dressings and seasonal offerings.- Document recipes with detailed ingredient lists, preparation instructions, and plating suggestions, emphasizing zero waste (all of our salads come in glass jars).**Kitchen Management**:- Oversee kitchen operations to ensure efficiency, consistency, and quality.- Implement effective inventory management systems by creating and following standard operating procedures to minimize waste while maintaining ingredient availability.- Train and coordinate kitchen staff on recipe execution, preparation techniques, and food safety standards.- Streamline kitchen workflows to ensure scalability as the business grows.- Maintain compliance with sanitary practices and local health regulations.**Collaboration with Team**:- Work closely with Casa Ensalada’s marketing team to align recipes with customer insights and storytelling strategies.- Collaborate with the operations team to ensure recipes are operationally viable and aligned with supply chain realities.- Contribute to seasonal menu planning and new product development initiatives.**Desired Qualifications**:- Proven experience in culinary recipe development, with a strong track record of creating health-focused or quick-service food concepts.- Demonstrated success in managing kitchen workflows, inventory systems, and scalable preparation methods.- Experience training and managing kitchen staff, with a focus on efficiency and teamwork.- A creative palate and passion for developing unique, flavorful recipes that excite and inspire customers.- Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations in Mexico.- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.**Preferred Qualifications**:- Experience sourcing ingredients in Mexico City, including working with local farmers, markets, and wholesalers.- Familiarity with supply chain logistics, including vendor negotiations, quality control, and delivery coordination.- Ability to analyze ingredient trade-offs and make decisions balancing quality, cost, and operational efficiency.- Knowledge of restaurant industry best practices for optimizing kitchen processes and reducing waste.**Job Details**:- **Position Type**: Part-time (20-25 hours/week).
