Recruitment Associate @ Interlix Staffing Schedule: Full-time (40 hrs week) Compensation: $10/hr ($1700 monthly approx.) Location: Remote (LATAM Applicants only) Company Overview Our client is a growing general contracting and construction management firm specializing in commercial renovations and build-outs across NY, NJ, CT and other states across the United States. They specialize in commercial renovations, industrial facilities, office spaces, and warehouse projects. The team is focused on delivering projects efficiently, accurately, and with strong coordination across preconstruction and operations. Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Project Estimator to lead cost estimating and preconstruction efforts for commercial renovation and retrofit projects. This role is responsible for developing accurate budgets, managing bid processes, and supporting project handoff from preconstruction to execution. Key Responsibilities Prepare detailed cost estimates for commercial renovation and rehabilitation projects. Perform takeoffs and develop scopes for projects with incomplete or evolving documentation. Solicit, level, and analyze subcontractor and supplier bids. Review and interpret plans, specifications, and scopes of work to confirm completeness and identify potential gaps or conflicts. Develop preliminary budgets, cost breakdowns, and value-engineering options. Coordinate preconstruction activities including bid packages and RFPs. Support subcontractor buyout and contract preparation. Maintain and update historical cost data and unit pricing. Collaborate with operations and field teams to ensure smooth project handoff. Track market pricing, labor rates, and material costs to maintain estimating accuracy. Qualifications Required Qualifications 3+ years of experience in estimating or preconstruction for U.S. commercial construction projects. Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field. Proven experience with existing commercial structures, including renovations and retrofits. Commercial experience in industrial, manufacturing, office, or warehouse projects. Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel. Experience with estimating or takeoff software (e.g., Bluebeam, PlanSwift, ProEst, or similar). Preferred Qualifications Experience coordinating bids and budgets with remote and local teams. Familiarity with project management platforms (e.g., Monday.com). Experience handling ambiguous scopes and developing work items independently.
