Direct and coordinate manufacturing production functions for more than one product process- Responsible for managing and implementing procedures- Provide for a safe working environment on the shop floor- Prepare and administer operating budgets for the respective manufacturing departments- Direct and coordinate manufacturing production functions through First Line Supervisors and in coordination with other Operations managers and personnel- Responsible for managing and implementing procedures, processes, and methods that assures product quality, employee safety and productivity- Coordinates and implements process improvements and cost reduction activities; sponsors manufacturing continuous improvement and Lean initiatives. (Kaizen events, increase of machine capacity)- Train, coach and mentor Supervisors in manufacturing operations and management- Determine manufacturing resource employment requirements- Participate in the process for New Introduction Products- Participate in internal and external corrective action process- Manage Accident Investigation for cause analysis of injuries and near miss incidents in conjunction with area supervisors
