Responsibilities The Opportunity As an R&D EHS Analyst , you will be responsible for ensuring the health, safety, and environmental protection of employees at the Tech Center, driving PepsiCo’s commitment to Goal Zero — zero injuries to people and no harm to the environment. This role plays a key part in deploying and monitoring the company’s EHS strategy, ensuring safe and compliant operations while fostering a strong prevention mindset across the site. You will actively strengthen the EHS culture by developing employee capabilities and partnering with leadership teams through targeted training, programs, and awareness campaigns. In parallel, you will ensure full compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations, including the management of wastewater, waste, chemicals, emergency preparedness, risk identification, contractor safety, and EHS integration into on‑site projects. Additionally, you will support the standardization of transport safety systems to reduce traffic‑related risks and lead the implementation, monitoring, and continuous improvement of the GEHSMS management system, ensuring robust processes, audit readiness, and sustainable EHS performance across the Tech Center. Your Impact Promote a strong EHS culture across the site through C2C tours, awareness campaigns, training programs, and effective communication with different employee groups. Support global EHS programs and initiatives, facilitating the adoption and exchange of best practices within the Global R&D community. Ensure full compliance with environmental, health, safety, and civil protection regulations, including wastewater discharges, waste and chemical management, permits, and required operational documentation. Coordinate and maintain emergency response plans, emergency brigades, and preparedness activities. Conduct risk assessments and accident investigations using root cause analysis, ensuring the implementation of corrective and preventive actions and the communication of Safety Alerts. Actively participate in on‑site projects to ensure EHS considerations are embedded during planning and execution stages. Manage contractors on site, including access protocols, documentation review, training requirements, and work authorization. Implement, maintain, and continuously improve EHS standards and the GEHSMS management system in alignment with annual plans. Lead the GEHSMS (SAT) committee by identifying improvement opportunities, assigning accountable owners, and driving action plans. Provide guidance to on‑site GEHSMS standard leaders to ensure consistent and effective implementation. Maintain robust documentary control of EHS procedures, records, logs, and regulatory requirements. Qualifications Who Are We Looking For? Bachelor’s degree in Environmental, Chemical, Industrial Engineering or a related field, with 2–3 years of experience in Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) roles within R&D, manufacturing, or laboratory environments. Solid understanding of EHS regulatory frameworks (environmental, health, safety, and civil protection), including experience supporting internal EHS management systems such as GEHSMS or similar. Familiarity with government procedures, permits, and regulatory interactions, ensuring compliance and operational continuity. Fluent Spanish and advanced English, with the ability to communicate effectively in global and cross‑functional settings. Strong communication, influencing, and stakeholder management skills, confident speaking in public, leading trainings, and driving EHS initiatives through collaboration rather than authority. Proactive, assertive, and approachable professional with strong interpersonal skills, capable of motivating others, negotiating balanced solutions, and fostering a strong EHS culture.
