Paylocity is a leading provider of cloud‑based HR and payroll software solutions, powering over 35,000 businesses in the United States. We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer in Guadalajara to join our Recognition & Rewards team. About the Role As a Senior Software Engineer, you will craft scalable, modern systems and collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams. You will lead feature design discussions, mentor junior engineers, and ensure high reliability for a cloud‑native platform. Responsibilities Collaborate with team members and stakeholders on our green‑field Recognition & Rewards project; build and deliver a top‑notch experience using AWS services such as EventBridge, Lambda, SNS/SQS, and MongoDB Atlas. Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and deliver meaningful iterations using Agile methodologies, CI/CD, and rapid releases. Mentor and coach less experienced team members, contributing to a positive inclusive team culture. Build and productionize highly scalable and redundant systems on AWS, leveraging internal tooling to accelerate development. Use data to answer business questions, influence decisions, and enable the team to make data‑driven choices. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience. Minimum 5 years of software engineering experience. Full‑stack engineering experience with large‑scale, highly reliable systems. Proven track record of delivering high quality product features for cloud‑native, enterprise level applications. Quality‑first mindset with strong object‑oriented analysis and design skills. Experience with .NET Frameworks, C#, and messaging frameworks. Experience building applications using cloud services such as MongoDB Atlas, AWS Lambda, and AWS SNS/SQS. Experience with APM tools such as DataDog for monitoring production. Strong collaboration with product managers and stakeholders; ability to engineer with leadership and coaching. Success Criteria Success will be measured by delivering scalable, reliable systems; driving product iterations; mentoring teammates; and using data to influence decisions. Physical Requirements Ability to sit for extended periods (7‑8 hours per day). Use of computer, phone systems, and multiple software programs simultaneously.
