Projects will range from Life Cycle Service (LCS) inventory consignment contracts to significant product upgrade deliveries to market area customers. The Project Coordinator will ensure parts deliveries are tracked and delivered on time in order to meet customer expectations and site requirements, fulfill contract obligations, and achieve targets for safety, quality, schedule, and budget. The Project Coordinator is responsible for stakeholder communication and relationship management including customers, suppliers, and internal units.Job**Responsibilities**:Responsible for managing LCS contracts, inventory consignment contracts, and significant field service events in accordance with Metso Outotec global processes, tools, and policies, utilizing solid project management practicesResponsible for managing projects, ensuring deliveries are properly resourced, meet customer expectations, fulfill contract obligations, and achieve targets for safety, quality, schedule, and budgetExecute projects as sold by the Sales Account Managers / Proposal DepartmentEnter purchase orders and projects into SAP Business System and perform all required SAP functions including purchase requisitions, invoices, cost runs, and proper job closeout procedures within SAPPrepare internal and external kick-off meetings to define project objectives and clarify contractual issues as requiredWork in liaison with the various technical support staff within Metso Outotec organization to coordinate the design of procedures, special tooling, jigs, and fixtures that are needed to execute the work scopeDuring project execution, coordinate delivery of materials and/or laborResponsible for stakeholder communication and relationship management (customers, suppliers, internal units )Prepare detailed scope of work plans, estimates, and customer proposals for extra work not included in the original contractResponsible for adhering to robust scope change management practices in delivering projectsInvoice the customer as per contract requirements and in a timely mannerApprove suppliers’ invoices as per contract requirementsFollow-up on project cost deviation, cycle times, and Accounts ReceivableResponsible to manage lessons learned, identify continuous improvement opportunities, and provide feedback to relevant stakeholdersWhen appropriate, make recommendations to improve field methods and/or efficiencyReceive and adjust inventory levels in SAPCarry out other service-related tasks as a member of Metso Outotec Minerals' Service Group as may be requested by the ManagerQualifications and ExperienceExperience in project execution serving mining or other heavy equipment industries preferredProject management certification or other professional degree is preferredSolid SAP experience is requiredSalesforce experience is preferredMust possess a valid driver's license and the ability to obtain and maintain a valid passportSkills and AbilitiesA high degree of precision and attention to detailExcellent written and verbal communication skills in both Spanish and English with the ability to communicate effectively with customers, visitors, co-workers, management, suppliers, contractors, and regulatory inspectorsStrong leadership skills with a bias for action and the ability to motivate teamworkAutonomous, capable of making decisions, work with minimum supervisionAble to travel occasionally, both domestic and internationalFundamental knowledge of commercial and legal terms and conditionsThe ability to understand engineering drawings is a plusHighly organized and able to multitask and prioritize various activities to ensure timely and accurate compliance with schedule and budget requirementsPolished customer relations and good interpersonal relations skillsIn-depth knowledge of personal computers, including Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint, Outlook)Highly motivated with the ability to work under stress and meet tight deadlinesRegularly required to perform in-office environment, use hands and fingers; reach with hands and arms; and effectively communicate with others.
