Our TEAM is ready.As a leader of EHS and SECURITY for the site, you will be an active contributor to the successful operation of the GE VERNOVA Queretaro location, serving as the point of contact with the different site contractors.**What you’ll do**- Main responsibilities, not all inclusive, are listed here. Organizationally, the position will report into the GE Gas Power EHS Center of Excellence Governance Leader with day-to-day operational direction from the Engineering Labs General Manager of Components and Development Testing.- Serve as leader for all business requests related to EHS and SECURITY management (customers/stakeholders). This includes serve as owner of the Business Continuity plan and Safety Response, serve as owner of NOM037 “Telework - Health and Safety conditions at work”, and coordinate work on NOM035 “Psychosocial Risks” with Medical and HR areas, oversight and owner of all norms as related to EHS and support of others that may be impacted.- Be responsible for driving business EHS goals, programs, and processes, both regulatory and corporate, to meet business goals and objectives.- Anticipate identify and evaluate hazardous conditions and practices and good knowledge on accident prevention, inspection procedures, accident investigation and reporting, FW 2.0 standard work, risk management, hazard recognition techniques, LOTO procedures, hazardous materials, and process chemistry.- Responsible for the development, improvement, and implementation of EHS programs and processes, including processes such as Safety Risk Assessments and Safe Operating Procedures, Management of Change, High Risk Operations, Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental programs (air, stormwater, wastewater, waste), Training, Emergency Preparedness and Fire Protection, Radiation Safety and Chemical Management in accordance with business, company, and regulatory policy.- Work with Engineering leaders, as well as Facilities, Communications, Medical and global EHS leaders, to effectively implement, modify and revise EHS requirements, as well as manage EHS training plans, training facilitation, and delivery of EHS training as needed.- Ensure successful security leadership to sustain business operations and protect the employees, assets, and proprietary information.- Be a strong promoter of policy compliance and decision making based on risk-analysis.**What you’ll bring (Basic Qualifications)**- Bachelor’s degree in occupational safety, EHS Engineering, or equivalent Engineering degree.- Minimum of 5 years of EHS experience in an industrial/research environment.- Demonstrated technical expertise in managing EHS risks associated with Ergonomics, Electrical Safety, Control of Hazardous Energy programs, Safety Risk Assessments and Safe Operating Procedures, Management of Change, High Risk Operations, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental programs (air, stormwater, wastewater, waste), Training, Emergency Preparedness and Fire Protection, Radiation Safety and Chemical Management.- Strong background that includes managing building security.- Demonstrated experience in project management, leading multi-disciplinary teams, connecting with stakeholders, problem analysis and resolution, strategic thinking and change management.- Strong communication skills, written and oral (English and Spanish)- Demonstrated transparency, adherence to Compliance- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.- This position is not eligible for telework. It will be located at the Queretaro site, located in Residencial El Refugio, QRO.- Legal right to work in México.
