ABOUT US:Braintrust is a user-owned talent network that connects you with great jobs with no fees or membership costs—so you keep 100% of what you earn.- **JOB TYPE**: Freelance, Contract Position (no agencies/C2C - see notes below)- **LOCATION**: Remote - LATAM Only (TimeZone: PST/CIST | Partial overlap)- **HOURLY RANGE**: Our client is looking to pay $50 - $75/hr- **ESTIMATED DURATION**: 35h/week - Long termABOUT THE HIRING PROCESS:**THE OPPORTUNITY****Must have**- Strong communication skills - proficient in both written and verbal English- Strong documentation skills- Ability to write their own tickets and make architecture recommendations- Experience breaking a project down into tickets and moving them through an agile build- Proficiency in all languages and systems listed in the description- Ability to estimate time to completion of work based on a breakdown of tasks and point systems- Desire to advise on tech direction and architecture to meet current and future business needs- Desire to work in a team setting in order to drive towards business objectives shared by all members of the team**Front End Proficiencies**React, Typescript, Vanilla Extract/SASS, next.js, graphQLComponent Library Structures**Back end proficiencies**Node.js, Firestore, Google Cloud Functions, Cloud Run, handling external API,**Bonus Qualifications**- Has worked with any of the following solutions- Mixpanel- Sendbird- Auth0- Sendgrid- Twilio- Segment- Google Analytics- META, TikTok, Twitter, Twitch, or YouTube APIs- Has experience working on building search solutions from the ground up- Has worked on a social networking productOpportunity for equity**:Yes**Opportunity to convert to F/T work**: Yes*****:**What you’ll be working on**:Our client is looking for an experienced developer who can join their growing team to help them continue to build and launch the first iteration of their new platform. This developer should be comfortable working with jr and sr developers and have a history and preference for delivering high-quality code, strict adherence to specifications, and experience writing their own tickets and making architecture recommendations. The person who is the right fit for this role takes ownership of the success of the developer group, understands what they’re trying to build as a company, and is passionate about delivering high-quality results. This person ideally has the goal of managing other developers eventually.
