Purpose Statement: This position is assists with updating and maintaining supplier controls in regards to quality and compliance for incoming raw materials and services.Key Job Accountabilities:- Verification of Purchased Product - Performs part verification activities against defined criteria. Complete necessary documentation to provide objective evidence of product conformance.- Supplier Performance Monitoring - Support data collection with regards to supplier Quality performance information, to ensure metrics are accurate.- Material Issues - Support NCM management through problem investigation, reporting activity or segregation of NCM parts designated as Supplier related NCM.Additional Accountabilities:- Assists in establishing incoming quality requirements to ensure correct parts are received and verified for product quality prior to their issuance into manufacturing.- Reviews product inspection history to make future inspection decisions.- Reviews parts that have been rejected by the production floor to determine root cause so that parts can be pre-dispositioned.- Assists in driving supplier quality improvement.- Defines supplier quality requirements in purchase orders (via Q-Codes) for supplier flow-down and in inspection requirements in Receiving Inspection instructions.- Additional duties as assigned.Education/Experience Qualifications:- A minimum of a High School degree is required; an Associates Degree is preferred.- 1 year of related experience is preferredAn equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the key job accountabilities may be considered.Other Qualifications:- Broad understanding of materials, manufacturing technologies and processesPhysical Requirements:- NoneWork Environment:- The work setting should consist of a manufacturing environment with suitable lighting, comfortable temperatures, and a moderate noise level.- This document does not represent a contract of employment and is not intended to capture every possible assignment the incumbent could be asked to perform._
