Role: Application Engineer / PLM Engineer (IT Division) The PLM Systems Engineer will be responsible for administering, optimizing, and supporting engineering design and product data management (PDM/PLM) systems, including Creo, Windchill, AutoCAD, PTC applications, and related tools. This role oversees license management, ensures data integrity and compliance, provides system reporting to management, and partners with engineering and IT to maintain system stability and availability. The position requires technical expertise in SQL, MQL, and basic Linux server interaction to support reporting, analysis, and integrations. Responsibilities Administer and maintain PLM systems (Windchill, PDM) and CAD applications (Creo, AutoCAD, PTC tools). Manage engineering software licenses; monitor usage, ensure compliance, and provide consumption and subscription reports to management. Develop and execute SQL and MQL queries to extract system data for reporting, metrics, and decision-making. Provide user support and training on CAD/PLM tools, workflows, and best practices. Collaborate with IT to support system integrations, upgrades, troubleshooting, and server-related tasks. Interface with Linux servers to retrieve and analyze relevant system data. Manage product data, document control, and change management processes within PLM/PDM systems. Support engineering workflows and ensure adherence to company data management standards. Utilize Minitab and related analysis tools for reporting and statistical analysis. Identify opportunities to improve system performance, workflows, and reporting accuracy. Required Technical and Professional Expertise Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or related field; equivalent experience may be considered. 3+ years of hands‑on experience with Windchill, PDM, Creo, and other PTC software. Strong skills in SQL and MQL for data reporting and analysis. Experience with AutoCAD and 2D/3D CAD standards. Familiarity with Linux server environments and ability to retrieve/analyze system‑level data. Understanding of product lifecycle management (PLM) processes and best practices. Strong organizational, problem‑solving, and communication skills. Preferred Qualifications Experience with system administration, license management, and monitoring tools. Knowledge of Oracle databases and PLM system integrations. Familiarity with scripting or automation for reporting and data workflows. Experience collaborating across IT, engineering, and management teams.
