**Cloud Operations Engineer**Do you want to help manage and operate a multi-cloud platform that drives the success of a SaaS payments company? If so, we could use your help. We are a growing company aiming to build a world-class cloud operations team including cloud-based Infrastructure-as-Code methodologies, custom CI/CD pipelines, and security as an engineering discipline rather than an afterthought.This team will report to our Chief Architect who will provide mentoring and guidance. This person has extensive experience and a passion for creating a collaborative and transparent work environment.**What you’ll be doing**:The Cloud Operations Engineer is crucial to the new Cloud Operations team that is responsible for the daily operation and maintenance of critical cloud services that support our products. In this role, you will automate deployment of system configurations as well as create and maintain Infrastructure as Code in an Azure tenant, create monitoring and alerting strategies, improve our CI/CD pipelines to deploy and configure these services more quickly and accurately, and assist in defining policies and practices that ensure services are highly available in a 24x7x365 operation.You’ll work cross-functionally with Architecture, DevOps, and Product teams to support our cloud infrastructure. You will have the opportunity to define and demonstrate best practices for operating services in the public cloud, at scale, with high availability, security, and observability as key goals.You’ll be a member of a team that will be the go-to resource for providing operational support, maintenance, and continuous deployment of critical cloud services. You’ll also be called on to troubleshoot and resolve errors reported by product teams that use shared cloud services.**Who you are**:- You are a good communicator that thrives in a team environment- You are a creative problem-solver- You are highly motivated and self-driven- You find this job posting exciting and think it will be a great fit for you**Preferred qualifications**:- Previous PowerShell Experience and a desire to automate is essential. Experience with other tools like Python, Bash, Terraform, Ansible, etc. is important.- Knowledgeable of Infrastructure as Code concepts (i.e. GitOps, ARM templates/AWS Cloud Formation/Terraform/Ansible, etc.)- Understand DNS, IP addressing, routing, and related concerns- Previously implemented monitoring and alerting to support observability of cloud-native services- Understand security concepts including asymmetric/symmetric key usage & encryption- Ability to troubleshoot performance issues, networking/connectivity problems, and other operational concerns- Experienced with Azure platform services such as App Services, Kubernetes, storage accounts, API Management, Key Vault, Service Bus, etc.- Experienced with implementing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Azure DevOps, Octopus Deploy, Jenkins, Travis CI, etc.- You have demonstrated skills in teamwork and collaboration- Experience with Infrastructure as Code concepts (i.e. ARM templates/AWS Cloud Formation/Terraform/etc.)- Experience with PCI or similar regulatory requirements (Nice to have)**What we offer**:- Small collaborative teams where you can impact both outcome and culture- Ongoing professional development opportunities- Volunteer opportunities organized by the company- Join a rapidly growing company that promotes internally**Language**:- inglés (required)
