What You'll Do

The Regional Sales Director will have business development responsibility with targeted regions as well as mentoring and coaching the broader team to achieve sales results.

  • Ensure that the commercial sales business plan is aligned with SVP strategies and objectives.
  • Ensure that products, pricing, representation, and service are maintained at superior levels.
  • Represent the commercial business unit by implementing the trade activity calendar for their team to exploit business opportunities and strengthen the brand position in the marketplace.
  • Assist in establishing sales objectives for the region assigned in conjunction with the SVP and ensure sales activities in the assigned area comply with established policies, procedures and practices, using good judgment and decision-making to ensure corporate ethical and professional standards of conduct are maintained in the absence of formalized guidelines.
  • Explore and develop a business strategy for greenfield opportunities in markets for Mohawk group throughout Mexico.
  • Work closely with the Architecture & Design community to establish specified business opportunities.
  • Enhance and develop go-to-market strategy that embodies a vast dealer network within the country of Mexico.
What You Have
  • Four-year college degree in business, marketing, or a related field.
  • 5-7 or more years of related work experience and any combination of education and training which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential functions of the job, combined with demonstrated professional growth and achievement.
  • Knowledge of the terms, concepts and practices of the marketing and sales environment, to include but not limited to product development and manufacturing procedures, distribution, customer service and basic accounting.
  • Bilingual - fluent in Spanish & English.
  • Direct sales experience in the flooring industry and with Architects/dealers is preferred.

  • Effectively interacting and negotiating with internal and external customers and business contacts at all organizational levels via the utilization of excellent verbal & written communication.
  • Learning and maintaining in-depth knowledge of a company's diverse business and product lines, as well as gathering, assembling, correlating, and analyzing statistical and financial data.
  • Maintaining professionalism and utilizing appropriate conflict resolution methods in all situations in accordance with corporate standards - externally and internally.
  • Having a thorough knowledge of Mohawk products, distribution options, sales strategies, and/or programs is always a plus
  • Skillfully negotiating in tough situations with both internal and external groups - Skilled Negotiation training is preferred.
What else?
  • Expect up to 75% travel for trade shows, customer visitation, team meetings, etc.
  • This role is based in Mexico City.
