Job Position Pitch Engineer, test and operate Windows solutions, document and handover to operational teams. Lead project activities and serve as optional tech lead. Represent the technology area in discussions with global project managers and clients. Drive process improvement initiatives, including automation, documentation, and transition to offshore teams. Perform proactive maintenance and L3–L4 support, license management, OS patching, security hardening, vulnerability management, capacity and inventory management for the Windows server estate. Provide infrastructure services and 3rd-level support for the Provisioning and Operations function (on-shore and offshore). Optimize performance of Windows VMs on virtualization platforms and ensure agreed service levels. Maintain security and audit compliance. Manage Windows VMs in cloud environments such as Microsoft Azure or Amazon AWS. Support migration, rehosting, refresh, and in-place upgrade procedures. Develop code (Puppet Enterprise) to optimize server lifecycle management. Act as a supporting instance for the Core Build and Development Engineering Team. Where You'll Be in the Organization Group Technology Operations (GTO) designs, develops, and operates global AXA IT products. You will join the Distributed & Mainframe Global Products department, collaborating with teams such as Cloud and Workplace, and contributing to strategic programs like One DataCenter and ATLAS. Job Purpose and Main Missions Supervise, manage, and administer all Windows servers within AXA Group globally. Lead the evolution and optimization of the Windows Server environment. Drive automation and future AI-Ops technologies to support day-to-day operations. Serve as tech lead for local and regional infrastructure regulation aspects. Act as the trusted advisor for server upgrades and build engineering collaborations. Optimize platform management in local and public cloud datacenters. Manage incident, problem, and change processes within the Windows OS team. Provide advanced troubleshooting for Windows Server OS. Support special project tasks such as migrations, re-hosting, and provisioning. What We're Looking For Senior / Advanced Windows Server Engineer or Expert with deep administrative experience. Strong knowledge of security, compliance, and server hardening (GPO management). Proficiency with legacy and current Windows Server OS versions (W2k8–W2k25). Experience with scripting and build tools, preferably PowerShell. Understanding of Dev-Ops methodologies and tooling (Puppet Enterprise, Terraform, GitHub, Artifactory). Knowledge of server software packaging (e.g., Chocolatey). Interest in cloud platforms – Microsoft Azure and Amazon AWS. Experience with virtualization, AD management, networking, and firewall protocols. Familiarity with Windows Patch Management technologies (WSUS). Interest in AI-Ops solutions for operational efficiency. Strong communication, stakeholder management, and cross-cultural collaboration skills. Fluent English; willingness to work globally.
