Senior AWS Solutions Architect

Position Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior AWS Solutions Architect to lead cloud adoption, modernization, and infrastructure migration initiatives in the LATAM region. You will collaborate with customers, partners, and internal teams, engaging with professionals at both C-Level and technical engineering levels. As an AWS expert, you will play a critical role in helping customers adopt AWS cloud technologies, driving performance improvements, enhancing security, and optimizing costs through the AWS Well-Architected Framework. Key Responsibilities Lead the migration of customers’ infrastructure and services to AWS. Modernize existing solutions using AWS-native services, focusing on performance, security, cost efficiency, and reliability. Collaborate with platform engineering, infrastructure, and application teams to design, deploy, and maintain cloud architectures. Develop and deliver AWS Identity services and solutions. Provide expertise in AWS compute services like Auto Scaling Groups, Spot Instances, and Graviton for cost optimization. Partner with AWS service teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues. Act as the primary point of contact for partners and customers, understanding their technical needs and translating them into tailored solutions. Work closely with market teams and customer stakeholders to justify solutions from both technical and financial perspectives, emphasizing cost savings and ROI. Develop and review architectural diagrams to ensure alignment with customer goals. Lead initiatives to drive cloud adoption among customers in the LATAM region. Conduct training sessions on AWS solutions to empower customers, partners, and internal teams to adopt best practices. Qualifications Certifications AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate or Professional. Optional: Microsoft Azure Certified Engineer or Cloud Architect. Technical Expertise Advanced knowledge of AWS CloudFormation, CDK, Terraform, and Infrastructure-as-Code tools (e.g., JSON, YAML). Proficiency in containerization and orchestration platforms like Docker, Kubernetes, and serverless technologies. Strong experience in Windows and Linux environments, including automated OS provisioning. Expertise in root cause analysis for performance optimization. In-depth knowledge of AWS Database Migration Service (DMS) and AWS Schema Conversion Tool (SCT) for migrating Oracle and/or Db2 databases to AWS RDS. Expertise in virtualization technologies such as VMware. Soft Skills Exceptional teamwork and leadership abilities, with experience managing projects and mentoring teams. Strong communication skills, capable of engaging both technical and non-technical audiences. Highly curious and adaptable, with a passion for continuous learning and exploring new technologies. Results-oriented mindset focused on delivering value to customers and stakeholders. Preferred Skills & Experience Familiarity with Agile methodologies. Hands-on experience with hybrid or multi-cloud solutions. Some familiarity with ITIL methodologies. Hands-on experience as Database Administrator (DBA) with Oracle.
