**Your team responsibilities**The Reference Data Analyst is part of the Reference Data team, which is a vital corporate resource at the functional core of MSCI’s service offerings. All the services are available for our employees free of charge.**Your key responsibilities**- Research and acquire in-depth knowledge of the market data content models of upstream suppliers (data vendors) for all asset classes covered by MSCI’s global security master: Corporate and Government bonds,- equities, derivatives, syndicated loans, and securitized products - with special attention to their relevance to MSCI's ESG offering.- It will be the responsibility of the analyst to relate the vendor's native data schema and their content model to MSCI’s business content objectives and develop business logic required to integrate upstream- data feeds to a normalized set of terms and conditions data models. The analyst will work closely with development teams in the implementation and maintenance of these business rules.- Where there are source content discrepancies and/or inconsistencies, override, where necessary, data in the golden copy and coordinate the resolution of issues with market data suppliers.- Investigate reference data quality issues and design anomaly detection techniques applied to Terms and Conditions and Reference Data, with special attention to the ESG related angles.- financial instruments.- Assist, both as a team member and in some cases as sole analyst, the development of derived data sets that are largely dependent on terms & conditions market data.
