They are seeking a Data Engineering Team Lead to join a world-class end-to-end Data Engineering organization.**Position/Main Responsibilities**:As a Data Engineering Team Lead, you will:- Lead Data Engineers and collaborate closely with Software Development Engineers (SDEs), Analytics Engineers (AEs), and Infrastructure Engineers (IEs).- Build a modular, flexible data engineering infrastructure for continuous iterative improvements.- Serve customers including eCommerce, Marketing, Supply Chain, Finance, Investment, and Legal departments.- Develop data products to support every aspect of the business.- Design and build data models and infrastructure in collaboration with Analytics and Infrastructure Engineering.- Engage in hands-on development of data engineering components using innovative tools.**Responsibilities include, but are not limited to**:- Lead and provide technical guidance to the Data Engineering team.- Collaborate with various engineering teams within the technology department.- Focus on continuous improvement of the data engineering infrastructure.- Understand data as a strategic resource and build data products accordingly.- Design and develop data models and infrastructure.- Conduct hands-on development in data engineering.**Basic Qualifications**:- 6+ years of hands-on experience in Data Engineering, including roles like Lead Data Engineer or Senior Data Engineer.- 3+ years of management experience leading a team of Data Engineers.- Expertise in onboarding raw datasets from disparate sources and designing flexible data models.- 4+ years of experience with Multi-Cloud Data Platform Technologies (e.g., GCP, AWS, Azure).- 3+ years of experience with Google Cloud Platform, including Big Query and other related services.- Proficiency in developing automation and ETL pipelines using Python or other programming languages.- Extensive collaboration experience with software developers and analytics engineers.- Strong experience in data modeling, ETL development, and data warehousing.- Proven success in communicating with business users, technical teams, and senior leadership.- Ability to manage multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.**Preferred Qualifications**:- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field.- Master’s degree in a related field.- Experience defining data architectures and designing Data Warehouse dimensional models.- Expertise in building and delivering complex, modular data systems with documented interfaces.- Knowledge of NoSQL and In-Memory Databases is a plus.- Familiarity with data engineering best practices, coding standards, and lifecycle processes.**Equal Employment Opportunity Statement**:Our Client is an equal opportunity employer and considers all applicants for employment without any regard to race, skin color, religion, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, disability, or protected classes.
