**Power BI Business Analyst (Insurance Industry)****About the Role****Key Responsibilities**- Collaborate with **insurance business stakeholders** to gather and define reporting and data visualization requirements.- Design, develop, and optimize **Power BI dashboards and reports** to provide actionable insights.- Work with structured and unstructured **insurance datasets**, including policy, claims, underwriting, and actuarial data.- Ensure data accuracy and integrity by **cleaning, transforming, and modeling insurance data**.- Conduct in-depth **data analysis** to identify trends, risks, and opportunities within insurance operations.- Provide recommendations based on **data-driven insights** to improve business decisions.- Work closely with **data engineers, actuaries, and underwriters** to understand business needs and improve reporting capabilities.- Develop and maintain **DAX queries, Power Query scripts, and data models** for effective dashboard performance.- Ensure compliance with **insurance industry standards, data privacy, and security regulations**.- Support troubleshooting and resolve issues related to **Power BI reports, dashboards, and data models**.**Qualifications**- Five or more years of experience as a Business Analyst working with Power BI.- Strong knowledge of the insurance industry, including claims, underwriting, actuarial, policy, and risk management data.- Proficiency in Power BI, DAX, Power Query, and SQL.- Experience working with large datasets from insurance companies, brokers, or insurtech platforms.- Strong understanding of data governance, security, and compliance regulations in the insurance sector.- Ability to translate business needs into technical solutions and create compelling data visualizations.- Experience working with ETL processes and data modeling- Excellent problem-solving skills and analytical thinking.- Strong communication skills to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.- Ability to work independently in a 100% remote environment while covering Eastern Standard Time (EST) hours.- Strong English Communications Skills**Contract Details****Duration**: 12-month contract, extendable 36+ months**Location**: Fully remote, must cover **Eastern Standard Time (EST)** hours**Engagement Type**: Contractor**Salary Range**: $45,000 - $60,000 MXN NET Per month as a contractor (NO BENEFITS)Tipo de puesto: Tiempo completoSueldo: $58,000.00 - $60,000.00 al mesTipo de jornada:- Turno de 8 horasLugar de trabajo: Empleo remoto
