Operational Risk Sr Analyst

**Job Description**:**Responsibilities**:- Exercises full leadership and supervisory responsibility over Operations Support department typically consisting of multiple teams.- Evaluates subordinates' performance and makes recommendations for staffing, pay increases, promotions, terminations, etc. Determines hiring to ensure adequate staffing.- Recommends new work procedures with broader scope of impact.- Deals with variable (occasionally complex) issues with substantial potential impact.- Directly impacts the area through shared responsibility for delivery of end results and contribution to planning, budget management and formulation of procedures; influences resource planning.- Responsible for opening and maintaining customer sub-accounts or product pricing setups, and actively ensuring that customer/product data details and settlement instructions across a variety of systems remain up to date.- Has the ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision.- Can exercise independence of judgement and autonomy.- Acts as SME to senior stakeholders and /or other team members.**Qualifications**:- 5-8 years of prior operations management experience**Education**:- Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience**Responsibilities**:- To maintain effective control oversight of LATAM Operations function- Contributes to risk assessments and drives actions to address the root causes that persistently lead to operational risk losses by challenging both historical and proposed practices.- Evaluates the control environment by ensuring appropriate controls are in place- Coordinates audits, examinations, and deliverable requirements from internal and external reviewers by supporting coordinating activities.- Ensures project completion, special assignments, and other ad hoc activities as required.- Ensures the Operations Team is in compliance with all regulatory policies and procedures.- Additional duties as assigned- Has the ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision.- Can exercise independence of judgement and autonomy.- Acts as SME to senior stakeholders and /or other team members.- Partner with operations colleagues to ensure risks and controls are working efficiently- Review manager risk and control assessments and internal audit results to highlight risk trends/control exceptions- Institute systematic follow-ups and progress tracking- Partner with operations colleagues to define/document end-to-end risks, controls, and measurable metrics- Execute test reviews and risk mitigation plans on an agreed frequency for the process inventory, document discussions and follow through on agreed actions- Interpret operational parameters and prepare reports to brief operations management- Liaise with regional audit, risk and control teams, to monitor and report their findings, and timely remediation of gaps Partner with control colleagues from other regions to foster consistency in LATAM operations practices- Champion and participate in process improvement initiatives- Acts as SME to senior stakeholders and /or other team members.- ** Knowledge/Experience**:- 5-6 years cross-function experience in operations, preferable MSS operations- Business presentations to management, preferred- Appreciation of policies in general- Demonstrated understanding of operational risk and gap identification- Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects simultaneously- In depth knowledge of Loan Operations processes and technology platforms supporting the Operations.- ** Skills**:- Good inter-personal and negotiation skills- Good communication skill (English) - able to write in clear/concise language- Pro-active risk identification and solution orientation- ** Qualifications**:- Graduation/Bachelor’s Degree- **Job Family Group**:Operations - Services- **Job Family**:Reference Data Management- **Time Type**:Full time- Citi is an equal opportunity and affirmative action employer.Qualified applicants will receive consideration without regard to their race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or status as a protected veteran.View the "**EEO is the Law**" poster.
