Senior Civil/structural Designer

**Job Overview**:The Senior Civil/Structural Designer completes a variety of Civil/Structural Design assignments as needed and can complete work with a limited degree of supervision. They are an informal resource for colleagues with less Civil/Structural Design experience. The Senior Civil/Structural Designer has developed proficiency in a range of analytical processes or procedures to carry out assigned tasks. They provide solutions to problems in situations that are atypical or infrequently occurring based on existing precedents or procedures. Today, we're driving the energy transition with more than 30,000 of the brightest minds across 54 countries.**Key Tasks and Responsibilities**:- Develop structural modeling using TEKLA, multi-user mode, or single user only if requested, modeling from design drawings. Use of AutoCAD 2D/3D and MicroSAS software.- Perform and issue the IFC (Issued for Fabrication) Structural Shop Drawings, through the appropriate Document control systems or channels, Keeping records of it.- Coordinate and review structural engineering in accordance with General Notes, welding requirements, fabrication project specification, material specifications, and supplier information to ensure that the executed work meets the Project and Bid requirements and timelines.- Ensure that deliverables such as Approved for Construction are within procedures.- Control and approve all documentation developed by the structural lofting discipline issued on the project.- Provide a Progress Report, as required.- Coordination of Structural Lofting activities, supervision of associate structural designer and structural designer.- Design engineering review for constructability analysis.- Provide assistance in reviewing and/or developing structural material volumes for Bills of Materials (Material Take Off).- Provide support to Fabrication Construction Support Engineering activities as required.- Provide technical support to Procurement, Production, Construction, Engineering, and Fabrication areas.- Interact with other departments such as planning, construction, fabrication, project management, contracts, etc. For clarification, scopes, responsibilities, etc.- Elaboration and follow-up to the closure of technical queries, deviation requests, requests for information, etc.- Identification, control, and closure of "HOLDS", workshop and/or design "REDLINES”- Coordination of Structural Lofting activities, supervision of associate structural designer and structural designer.- Design engineering review for constructability analysis.- Provide assistance in reviewing and/or developing structural material volumes for Bills of Materials (Material Take Off).- Provide support to Fabrication Construction Support Engineering activities as required.- Provide technical support to Procurement, Production, Construction, Engineering, and Fabrication areas.- Interact with other departments such as planning, construction, fabrication, project management, contracts, etc. For clarification, scopes, responsibilities, etc.- Elaboration and follow-up to the closure of technical queries, deviation requests, requests for information, etc.- Identification, control, and closure of "HOLDS", workshop and/or design "REDLINES”- Keep being informed regarding the results of (The key Performance Indicator) measurement and take the required corrective actions.- Coordinate with fabrication and marine representatives to identify construction sequence and preferred design details.- Interaction with the MTO team for changes in materials specified in the design and changes due to market availability, follow up on drawing updates. Prepare a deviation request document so that there is evidence of the changes in an official contract document.- Elaboration, control, and follow-up of project activity checklists.- Ensure that the documents that have been delivered to document control and nesting discipline, get the construction and fabrication teams; and do a follow-up of the plate cutting files for plate cutting, ensuring these be properly nested.- Application and design of intelligent components in the modeling with TEKLA structures.- Preparation of timesheets for rework activities.- Reading lessons learned according to the activity to be developed.- Participate in design reviews and audits.- Promote the reading of the procedures and the search in UNIFI by the elements of the p
