We act courageously and are uniquely positioned to be a source of stability in a world of evolving healthcare needs.Viatris empowers people worldwide to live healthier at every stage of life.We do so via:Access - Providing high quality trusted medicines regardless of geography or circumstance;Leadership - Advancing sustainable operations and innovative solutions to improve patient health; andPartnership - Leveraging our collective expertise to connect people to products and services.Every day, we rise to the challenge to make a difference and here’s how the Medical Manager - Pain & Metabolic role will make an impact:The Medical Manager is responsible will be accountable for the creation and execution of operating strategies, tactics, medical activities and other related processes to local Pain & Metabolic (DM) portfolio, all of this through a deep expertise and strong scientific interactions with external experts and other stakeholders to deliver product value and internally working together with Country Medical Director and Regional Medical Affairs Head, therapeutic area colleagues and other team members involved in supporting the accomplishment of the business plan objectivesKey responsibilities for this role include:- Supporting and advising from medical and patient point of view to marketing, access and commercial areas.- Setting business objectives and priorities to external engagement that ensure the development of the medical engagement plans through execution and reporting key performance indicators and metrics.- Leading and driving the development and performance of MSL team in a compliant and ethical manner by establishing a culture of empowerment and performance.- External Experts, Medical and Scientific Associations/Societies, as well as Health Authorities and Regulatory Agencies to provide complete and accurate information through appropriate channels and following the highest standards of scientific dialogue to increase the disease knowledge and development of therapies for HIV prevention and treatment.- To advise and support Regulatory and Access teams to provide, build and review medical-scientific and Health Economics & Outcomes information to the submission of new products, indications, Product information updating, or developing economic analyzes or dossiers.- Provide assistance on projects in the therapeutic area including medical affairs, CMEs, advisory boards, KOL interactions, scientific reviews, Investigators meetings, etc.- Share medical information with national/regional Key Opinion Leaders about scientific information and clinical guidelines, differentiating product attributes and outcomes studies.- Build and maintain advance disease, product & therapy knowledge with other relevant key collaborators.- Represents the Medical Department at Local and International Medical Congresses and Conventions, being responsible for medical education booths.- Monitors and facilitates pre-Congress abstract submissions to the local Medical affairs Department, attends poster sessions and oral presentations.- Assists in CME/CEU programs development and organization and participates in scientific committees.- Provides Information and Interpretation of the literature.- Provides clinical education and therapy training support to sales force.- Actively gathers and monitors Competitive Intelligence, in accordance with Company Policy.- Supports medical information when needed.The basic qualifications for this role are:- Minimum requirement Physician (MD), with some experience in pain and metabolic health (internal medicine, anesthesiology or diabetology).- Strategic relationship skills and assertive communication according to Stakeholders.- Knowledge about the local health system and legislation.- Public speaking skills.- Able to interpret, analyze and communicate, epidemiological, clinical research and pharmacoeconomic data.- High standard of professionalism and integrity.- Well organized and able to deal with multiple projects.- Proficient in English.Preferred- 2 years + of proven success and accomplishment in pharmaceutical industry.At Viatris, we offer competitive salaries, benefits and an inclusive environment where you can use your experiences, perspectives and skills to help make an impact on the lives of others.Viatris is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
