Job Description SummaryThe Shift Production Leader is responsible for leading associates in an engaged manner to achieve desired results in an assigned manufacturing unit. Lead day-to-day activities of the unit by coaching associates on a continuous improvement path in their daily manufacturing activities to achieve desired results.Job DescriptionKey Responsibilities:- Promptly address any safety issues or incidents.- Lead daily production operations.- Ensure that the manufactured products meet the established quality requirements.- Responsible for maintaining personnel and training plans within the business unit.- Provide regular, timely, and specific feedback to associates.- Provide a learning environment and challenge associates to meet higher expectations.- Implement BD Excellence components and programs within the manufacturing unit.- Ensure that an open flow of communication exists between production associates and management. Represent concerns of production associates to management as well as management concerns to production associates.- Actively participate and support continuous improvement activities.- Collaborate with Production Planning to establish production schedules, monitor performance versus schedule for the department.- Track the production metrics to ensure that department goals are being met. Communicate the metrics and progress to associates and management.- Train associates to be responsible for safety, quality, production, costs, cleanliness and compliance with general policies.- Ensure that safety and quality standards are achieved and drive production performance to meet objectives and schedules.- Ensure compliance with BD quality systems, policies, procedures and best practices, and all local, state, federal and BD safety regulations, policies and procedures.- Perform other tasks as required.Qualifications:- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field.- 1-3 years of experience supervising personnel in a manufacturing environment.Organizational and manage time skills to meet deadlines and high-level goals.- Ability to influence and build good working relationships according to BD Values.- Effective oral/written communication skills.- Proficiency in MS Office- Bilingual English and Spanish (preferred).**Required Skills**:Optional SkillsPrimary Work LocationMEX ReynosaAdditional LocationsWork Shift
