JOB PURPOSETo support, challenge and partner with the Medical Device Component management team and develop and deliver high performance financial objectives across MDC's Mexico operations. The Plant Controller reports to MDC's Global Finance Director.PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIESReportingProvide accounting and reporting support under US GAAP and Mexican FRS.Coordinate month-end closing activities including the completion of all needed journal entries, the accuracy of journal transaction registers, and balancing of inter-company receivables/payables.Prepare profit and loss reports for management review and complete final forecasts.InsightProvide financial leadership, advice, support, insight, and challenge in determining and delivering the strategic direction for the business.ControlCoordinate the business' robust identification, assessment, monitoring, management, assurance and reporting of risk.As part of the business' first and second lines of defence, develop; manage; monitor; maintain and validate a control environment that is fit for purpose, effective and in line with relevant standards including JM Group policies, relevant accounting standards, and US/MX legislation (including taxation).**QUALIFICATIONS/ KNOWLEDGE/ EXPERIENCE**:Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance.US GAAP and Mexican FRS reporting experience.Experience of working within a high value manufacturing environment.5-10 years in Finance/Accounting experience.Strong oral and writen communication in English (90%).Ability to travel to the US at least 10% of the time.
