About the Company: Sagan represents a U.S.-based acquisition‑focused firm supporting buyers through the end‑to‑end process of SBA‑backed business acquisitions. The team works closely with lenders and clients to structure, model, and present transactions that meet SBA lending requirements. Position Overview: We are seeking an M&A Analyst to support acquisition financing and lender engagement efforts. This role plays a key part in preparing financial models, lender‑ready credit decks, and buyer‑side materials used to present transactions to SBA banks. The analyst will work closely with leadership and receive structured training in SBA deal structuring and credit analysis. The role reports directly to the M&A Financial Analyst Team Lead. Key Responsibilities: Prepare lender‑ready credit decks and standardized financial models to support SBA acquisition financing. Build and analyze financial models, including LBO‑style scenarios, using established templates. Support deal structuring to align transactions with SBA lending requirements. Act as a financial support partner for clients, helping explain deal economics and lender expectations. Communicate with internal stakeholders and SBA lenders via video calls and written correspondence. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field (MBA is a plus). 1–2 years of experience in banking, finance, investment analysis, or a related field. Strong Excel skills and foundational financial modeling experience. High attention to detail with strong analytical capabilities. Fluent English communication skills, both written and verbal. Comfortable working in a client‑facing, advisory‑oriented environment. Nice‑to‑Haves: Exposure to M&A, acquisition finance, or credit analysis. Familiarity with SBA lending concepts (training provided). Experience supporting financial presentations or credit memos.
