The Communications Assistant will play a vital role in supporting our brand communications activity, and film and platform publicity across various channels, including press and influencer outreach. You´ll be in charge of organizing creative PR campaigns with the Communications Manager in LATAM to help connect MUBI to new and existing audiences around the country. This position is located at our office in Mexico City.**You will focus on**:- Support Communications Manager across all activities, including film publicity, brand activity, events, media relations, and talent management- Assist in the creation of PR strategies for theatrical and streaming film releases- Assist in influencer strategy and outreach for PR campaigns- Support the communications team in drafting, editing, translating and distributing press releases/media alerts and securing all necessary assets to PR agencies and journalists- Assist with general administrative tasks as needed, including scheduling meetings, maintaining contact lists, organizing files, and creating timelines- Coverage tracking and reporting- Send and track film screener link requests**What you will bring**:- An interest in building a career in PR / Communications.- Previous experience as an intern or assistant in a communications team for a PR agency, brand, or as a journalist.- Proficiency in social media platforms with a keen understanding of the influencer landscape in Mexico.- Ability to collaborate effectively, displaying a proactive and can-do attitude.- Knowledge of entertainment media in Mexico. Established relationships are a plus- Forward-thinking and eager to take on new challenges and dive into tasks.- Availability to work beyond regular hours sometimes, including during events and film festivals.- Working knowledge of software such as Google Docs, Sheets and Slides.- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.- Enthusiasm for independent and international cinema.- Fluency in English and Spanish. Any additional languages are a bonus.- Experience in film, media or technology is desirable.We want to make cinema accessible to everyone.
