Job Description Summary QA Engineer will follow software quality assurance strategy, policies, best practices, and procedures for all systems / projects as assigned by the QA Manager and / or QA Leads. Responsibilities Identify and analyze quality risks, create and execute detailed test cases, log associated defects, document testing statistics, and ensure proper test data for assigned projects. Execute all QA activities specific to relevant implementation priorities in coordination with leadership and project teams. Create, review and execute test cases, manage product test coverage, defect management, project statuses and escalations. Trace test cases to business requirements; report defects effectively; participate in defect reporting systems and daily triage meetings; capture and report QA metrics. Plan tests and create test cases; maintain situational awareness regarding all activities relevant to meeting project schedules and production system service levels; provide regular status updates to management and stakeholders. Ensure QA environment availability, data requirements for testing activities are met, functional parity/equivalence with production environment, and other dependencies are documented and communicated prior to test execution. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics or equivalent experience. 5+ years of experience in software quality assurance and/or software development. Experience testing complex systems with multiple integration points, coordinating between onshore and offshore resources. Experience working on eCommerce, mobile, and OMS systems. (IBM WebSphere Commerce and IBM Sterling a plus) Excellent verbal and written communication skills; comfortable working directly with and providing daily statuses to executive leadership and leading meetings as needed. Skills & Experience Standard quality assurance processes, methodologies & frameworks including white/gray/black box testing, unit testing, functional testing, regression testing, and integration testing. Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (PowerPoint, MS Project, Visio, etc). Detailed test plans & test cases for complex integration projects covering all positive and negative scenarios. Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and best practices. Experience with industry leading bug and test case management systems.
