**Remote (North America/Latin America timezones)****No Agencies****About Maximus****About the Role**:**Responsibilities**:- Design, develop, and maintain automated test suites using Cypress for UI, component, and API testing.- Perform manual testing activities to ensure comprehensive coverage.- Collaborate with developers on defining and implementing effective test automation architecture.- Actively contribute to the planning and execution of load, performance, and security testing initiatives.- Actively participate in agile ceremonies and provide quality-focused input during planning and refinement.- Mentor and train junior team members on test automation best practices.- Work with engineering teams to integrate testing into CI/CD workflows.- Document testing processes, test plans, and results in JIRA/Confluence.- Identify, report, and track defects through resolution.- Provide regular updates on testing progress and quality metrics.- 5+ years of QA engineering experience with a focus on **test automation**.- Strong experience with **Cypress** test automation for UI, component, and API testing.- 3+ years of experience with **GraphQL and REST API testing**.- Experience contributing to load, performance, and security testing initiatives and understanding their methodologies.- Demonstrated experience building new automation suites from early stages.- Strong understanding of test automation architecture principles.- Proficiency with CI/CD workflows, preferably Github Actions.- Strong written and verbal communication skills.- Active contributor in agile development environments.- Experience mentoring or training junior engineers.- Development experience is a plus.**Technical Stack / Skills**:- Testing Frameworks: Cypress (UI, Component, API testing)- API Technologies: GraphQL (3+ years), REST (3+ years)- Testing Types: Automated testing (75%), Manual testing (25%)- CI/CD: Experience with automated testing pipelines, preferably Github Actions- Project Management: JIRA, Confluence, Atlassian suite- Quality Practices: Test automation architecture, contributing to performance testing, contributing to security testing- Soft Skills: Strong communication, mentoring, agile methodologies**Qualities**:- A dedication to keeping things **simple** and **pragmatic**.- Attitude of **shared ownership** of the system, frequent integration.
