**Minimum qualifications**:- Associate's degree, trade school certification, or other certified training in a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.- 9 years of years of experience in Electrical, Mechanical/HVAC, or controls experience in an industrial/commercial environment.- 3 years of experience in a data center or facilities environment.- Ability to communicate in English and Spanish fluently to support client relationship and partnership management in this region.**Preferred qualifications**:- Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Management, or Reliability Engineering, or a related field.- Experience with Reliability Centered Maintenance and engineering.- Experience communicating effectively with all levels of the organization, including executives.- Ability to forecast resource requirements in a data-driven way.About the jobIn this role, you will partner with the Google Data Center developing teams, hardware operations, network infrastructure, and third-party data center vendors and operators with a focus on operability, maintainability, and reliability.Behind everything our users see online is the architecture built by the Technical Infrastructure team to keep it running. We keep our networks up and running, ensuring our users have the best and fastest experience possible.**Responsibilities**:- Motivate efforts to test, validate, improve, and certify new processes and procedures for critical equipment operation in the data center domain.- Lead efforts to perform compliance activities for a data center and analyze compliance results for data centers globally. Ensure regional and global teams are complying with project or schedule guidelines and Google design standards.- Drive efforts to monitor data center systems operations, control site activities to minimize risk, and to ensure response to any excursions.- Drive efforts to ensure sites are following facility, maintenance, and standard programs globally while exhibiting strength in improvement to said policies and programs.- Lead the development of strategies to keep operational costs to a minimum, improve efficiency, and reduce environmental impact at a site, along with motivating site-level development of programs and initiatives.Google is proud to be an equal opportunity workplace and is an affirmative action employer.
