We provide connectivity and managed services to Fortune 1000 companies, telecommunications and cable companies through a fiber optic network that extends for 35,000 km between both countries.We have an immediate need for a** Supply Chain Manager and Logistics** in Ciudad Juarez, Chihuahua, Mexico.**The Role**:The **Supply Chain Manager** and Logistics** is responsible for leading a regional team of buyers and warehouse/logistics clerks that will manage all requisition activities directly related to the company's operation, imports, purchase orders for services, monitoring warranty replacements, inventory replenishment, communication of logistics information, imports and exports.**The Responsibilities**:- Purchasing and Sourcing:- Develop and implement sourcing strategies to identify and qualify reliable vendors and suppliers.- Conduct market research to identify new sources, negotiate pricing and contract terms, and manage supplier relationships.- Ensure adherence to quality standards and specifications throughout the sourcing process.- Oversee the purchasing process, including issuing purchase orders, managing budgets, and ensuring on-time deliveries.- Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders, such as engineering and product development, to understand their needs and identify appropriate materials and components.- Inventory Planning and Optimization:- Develop and implement effective inventory planning strategies to minimize stockouts and optimize carrying costs.- Utilize forecasting techniques to predict demand and ensure adequate stock levels.- Establish safety stock levels to mitigate potential disruptions.- Collaborate with procurement to manage supplier relationships and negotiate lead times.- Foreign Trade and Logistics:- Manage foreign trade activities, including incoterms selection, customs clearance, and fiscal strategy.- Oversee international logistics operations, selecting carriers, negotiating freight rates, and ensuring compliance with export/import regulations.- Manage domestic transportation, optimizing routes and carrier selection for cost-effectiveness.- Warehouse Management:- Develop and implement efficient warehouse layout and slotting strategies for optimal product placement and picking.- Oversee warehouse operations, including receiving, putaway, storage, picking, packing, and shipping.- Implement and maintain warehouse management systems (WMS) to track inventory levels, optimize picking routes, and improve efficiency.- Ensure adherence to safety protocols and quality control measures within the warehouse.- Analytics and Reporting:- Analyze supply chain data to identify trends, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement.- Generate comprehensive reports to communicate performance metrics on inventory levels, logistics costs, warehouse efficiency, purchasing costs, and other key performance indicators (KPIs).- Utilize data analysis to support strategic decision-making across the supply chain.- Collaboration and Communication:- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including procurement, sales, operations, and finance.- Maintain strong relationships with vendors, suppliers, and logistics providers.- Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.**The Requirements**:- Bachelor’s Degree in International Commerce, International Trade, Business Administration or equivalent.- 5+ years of experience leading a Logistics and Purchasing area.- Management of ERP systems such as Netsuite, Oracle, SAP, etc.- Customer service oriented.- Negotiation skills with national and foreign suppliers- Knowledge of Incoterms, foreign trade and customs.- Fluent in both English and Spanish.**Privacy notice**: Flō Networks does not use the personal information of job applicants for any purpose other than strictly the recruitment process.
