EO’s competitive total rewards package, flexible work environment, and generous professional development resources are frequently cited as among the most popular benefits of working at EO.The Director of Communities leads the community engagement and experience strategy for EO Accelerator’s global network of trainers and accountability coaches, the operational backbone of EO’s world-class learning experience for early-stage entrepreneurs.While this role will collaborate on education content and program communications, the core responsibility is building a thriving and connected global community of volunteer leaders. This includes oversight of community strategy, peer learning infrastructure, volunteer engagement, program alignment, and the systems that scale these efforts effectively. The Director will also serve as a strategic partner and operational leader for the global accountability coach community, ensuring their integration into the broader learning ecosystem beyond onboarding.The Director will expand the current community model. This includes oversight of community programs, content creation, leadership development, volunteer engagement, recognition strategies, and education alignment. This role will ensure both communities are equipped, connected, and continuously improving.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESCOMMUNITY LEADERSHIP (Primary)- Lead global strategy and engagement for EOA’s trainer and accountability coach communities.- Serve as the main point of contact for the volunteer communities, facilitating connection, alignment, and resource sharing.- Design and implement recognition, feedback, and peer-learning strategies that drive satisfaction and retention.- Oversee regional collaboration to ensure consistency across global chapters.- Oversee development and continuous improvement of community operating models.- Oversee trainer placements, evaluations, and communications at scale.- Partner with EOA Chairs and Chapter staff to ensure alignment and high- quality participant experience in relation to coaches and trainers.- Manage the payments and reimbursements for trainers.- Support the Accelerator Program Vice-President with related projects, including leadership development, growth portfolio support, virtual learning days, or ad-hoc projects.- Perform other duties as assigned.CONTENT COLLABORATION (Secondary)- Partner with Lead Trainer and content creators to guide curriculum development, but not as the primary content producer.- Manage delivery mechanisms such as onboarding programs and “Train-the- Trainer” experiences.- Maintain and improve SOPs, policies, and tools supporting trainer and coach experiences and content sharing (e.g., Hivebrite, LMS, etc).- Lead the development and execution of the annual learning calendar and virtual engagement programs.COMMUNICATION / AWARENESS SUPPORT (Tertiary)- Collaborate with marketing and communications staff and member volunteers to ensure consistent messaging and visibility for programs.- Not expected to lead full campaign strategies but should be able to coordinate and translate community needs into awareness activities.QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED- Bachelor’s degree required; Preferred in education, organizational development, or a related field.- Minimum 7-10 years of experience in community management, program leadership, or education design, preferably in entrepreneurial ecosystems or associations.- Proven experience managing distributed, volunteer-driven communities at scale.- Demonstrated ability to design and deliver adult education programs; experience with virtual and hybrid learning models preferred.- Strong understanding of entrepreneurial/startup ecosystems and the unique needs of founder-led businesses.- Superior organizational, communication, and leadership skills with demonstrated experience scaling initiatives.- Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, prioritize projects, and lead cross- functional teams.- Ability to interact with entrepreneurs with tact, diplomacy, and poise.- Strong attention to detail and solution-based thinking.- Flexibility and willingness to learn an
