At Cognizant we promote an inclusive culture, where we value different perspectives providing career growth and development opportunities. #WelcomeToCognizantWe have an exciting opportunity for an exceptional individual to work supporting one of our clients as a **Project Manager****Responsibilities**- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams within the telecom sector, including engineering, network operations, and customer service, to define, sequence, and estimate the duration and activities of telecom-specific projects.- Integrate varied data sets into cohesive telecom project plans and timelines, considering factors unique to the industry such as network deployment and technology upgrades.- Accurately estimate resources, including technical manpower and equipment, along with budgetary requirements, specific to telecommunications projects.- Actively support and guide all phases of telecom project execution, from network infrastructure development to service rollout.- Facilitate effective communication within the project team, from initial meetings to milestone reviews and project completion, ensuring clear understanding of telecom-specific goals and objectives.- Promote robust cross-functional collaboration, ensuring participation from all relevant telecom departments for comprehensive project execution.- Monitor and report on key performance indicators and progress, addressing any issues and updating on the status, with a focus on metrics relevant to telecom projects.- Ensure all telecom projects are executed consistently, adhering to industry-specific standards, processes, and policies, including regulatory compliance and technological best practices.**Qualifications**- Bachelor's degree in Business, Project Management, or related field.- 2-3 years of experience in project management.- Solid understanding of project management methodologies.- Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.- Familiarity with technical architecture and core processes (for technical projects).- Experience in monitoring and reporting project metrics.**Skills**:- Demonstrated ability to analyze complex situations, identify challenges, and implement effective solutions. Proven problem-solving skills in diverse project scenarios.- Proficient in forecasting project requirements and managing budgets, ensuring resource allocation aligns with project needs.- Successful track record of coordinating with cross-functional teams, fostering collaboration, and providing valuable consulting insights.- Exceptional capability to manage multiple project priorities simultaneously, ensuring efficient project delivery and resource utilization.- Hands-on experience in all facets of project administration and management, from initiation to close-out, ensuring project success within defined parameters.- In-depth expertise in both Waterfall and Agile methodologies, adapting approaches based on project requirements and organizational needs.- Proactive approach to project management, anticipating challenges, and implementing preemptive strategies to ensure project success.- Meticulous attention to detail in project planning, execution, and reporting, ensuring accuracy and completeness in all project documentation.- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
