About the Role Role : Senior Software Engineer Location : Mexico Experience : 6+ years of experience Job Type : Full Time Employee As a Senior Software Engineer, you'll be instrumental in delivering the next generation of our industry-leading software: the person in this role will drive the development of key features for our client's flagship platform. You'll collaborate closely with our instrument software team to design, develop, and implement critical functionalities, leveraging your deep expertise in Linux, C#, and ASP.NET Core. Design, develop, and test high-quality C# code for various software components. Implement robust and efficient algorithms and data structures. Ensure code adheres to best practices, coding standards, and security guidelines. Platform Support: Provide technical expertise and support for Linux-based systems. Troubleshoot and resolve complex software issues. Optimize application performance and scalability. Collaboration and Communication : Effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences. Work closely with team members to share knowledge and solve problems collaboratively. Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback. Innovation and Continuous Improvement: Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and industry trends. Identify opportunities to improve software quality, performance, and user experience. Contribute to the development of innovative solutions. What You’ll Bring 6+ years of experience developing applications using the .NET platform (e.g., .NET 8 or later) for Linux . Experience with C# and OOP principles . Experience with Linux . Experience with desktop applications (not cloud development). Overall 5+ years of experience with ASP.NET Core, Open API 3.0 . Experience with source control repositories (GIT), CM practices like pull requests and reviews, and project management tools like JIRA . Experience with application lifecycle management, version control systems, CI/CD , and project management tools. Preferred skills: Experience developing software that integrates with hardware subsystems (e.g., fluidics, motion, optics) is a plus. Note: this role focuses on subsystem hardware integration, not embedded RTOS software. Experience with Dependency Injection frameworks like Autofac . Experience with data processing, algorithms, and Python. Experience with front-end frameworks like Angular is a plus. Participation in sprint planning, code reviews, and team retrospectives is expected.
