You will report to the Head of Tax in Mexico City / Latam.**Who we are looking for**You are a curious self-starter who can collaborate effectively both within Tax/legal and with cross-functional partners. You possess 12+ years of relevant experience in Mexico tax advisory / planning functions, as well as experience managing regional tax advisory, relationships with tax authorities, and leading teams.You have a hands-on mentality that balances with a strategic vision for the function. You are also unusually responsible, lean into being uncomfortably excited, and are thrilled by the chance to join a high-performance Dream TeamRole Responsibilities:Your primary responsibilities will be managing and overseeing ongoing advisory tax and TP requirements related to direct, indirect, and/or digital service taxation in the LATAM region (including Mexico, Ecuador, Dominican Rep and Panama, among others), as well as providing regional tax controversy, planning and new business launches support.Your day-to-day activities will include:- The primary objective is to ensure accurate and timely tax compliance, adherence to tax laws and regulations, and successful execution of tax projects.- Evaluation of tax risks that could affect every geography.- Monitor tax law changes or new business requirements.- Address and manage tax audits queries and report findings in collaboration with the service provider.- Follow up with Transfer Pricing advisors of the main intercompany transactions and preparation of the TP study- To lead the tax team in potential M&A transactions across every business.Role Qualifications:- You embrace and advocate the DiDi culture and our long-term view- You have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Legal or equivalent- Preferable previous experience managing tax projects in the Digital Services Industry / Financial in Mexico- Ability to analyze and interpret complex business situations and propose potential solutions.- Ability to work independently.- Highly developed interpersonal, communication and other soft skills.- Skills and attitudes- Demonstrated integrity and confidentiality in handling sensitive tax information.- Ability to adapt to changing tax regulation environments and implement necessary adjustments.- Strong analytical skills to identify and address complex tax issues (compliance, planning and advisory).- Exceptional attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in tax processes (compliance, planning and advisory).- Proven ability to lead and motivate a team towards achieving common objectives.- You are highly organized and are able to coordinate multiple and simultaneous demands for timely delivery, and balance competing prioritie- You demonstrate exceptional verbal and written communication skills by being clear, succinct, and organized, and are able to message complex tax nuances to a diverse audience- You cultivate positive relationships and build rapport easily with other teams/departments- You are open to giving and receiving feedback, and highly motivated to improve your current skill set in a fast-paced environment- You are not afraid to roll up your sleeves and get your hands into the work when the situation requiresEEO Statement:- We create customer value - We strive to always create valuable experiences for our users in everything we do.
