Fielded Engine Performance Modeling Intern

**Job Description Summary**:We are looking for an intern to participate in Fielded Engine Performance modeling activities for several engine lines across the aviation business. In this position you will be required to analyze and interpret large data sets to provide recommendations and update models to other teams such as Prognostics and Health Management both on wing and on ground, Engine Control Systems, Engine Performance, Engineering Services and so on. You will participate in technical presentations and reviews with global teams.**Roles and Responsibilities**- Data quality assessment and statistical analysis- Broadening knowledge of own technical discipline to execute policy/strategy- Participate in root cause analysis on field events- Present and substantiate results to senior leadership and direct manager- Show proactivity and autonomy in learning new processes and programming techniques**Required Qualifications**Currently in an Engineering bachelor or masters (Computer Sciences, Electronic, Mechanical, Aeronautical, Mechatronics or equivalent) with no more than two years to graduate**Desired Characteristics**- Experience with thermodynamics and fluid dynamics- Experience with C, C++, R, python, or similar computational languages- Experience in data bases and queries in SQL**Additional Information**:**Relocation Assistance Provided**:No
